Taking my son's Eagle Scout project up to school. He built cubbies for the wrestling room so they have a quick place to store their stuff off of the floor during practice. Locker rooms aren't convenient for the wrestlers.

I drove my buddy into to town to pick up some parts for his F150. While there I saw an old friend of mine, so we chatter for a few minutes. Turns out he was there to sign a deal for a new F150 and trading in his 20 Ranger. He's had it 17 months and getting almost $1000 more than he paid for it !!! Then he tells me they didn't even come out to look at it. They asked if there was damage, looked out the window and signed the deal....

Me - They didn't even come out?
Him - Nope.
Me - I'll give you $50 for the 4 bed tie downs and 8 bolts if you like.
Him - Sure, meet me at home when you leave.

It was only a few minutes later, but when I got to his place he already had them removed for me. I handed him the cash and but he would only take $20

Canadian dealer price is $56.77/hook and $8.22/bolt +13% tax = $330.91.

Holy cow! What a deal! For both of you! A new truck and tie downs (that nearly cost as much as a truck!).

Not my Ranger, but I finally sold my 2010 F150 today. It's been a great truck, but it was time to let it go. I didn't bother stripping many parts, but I did take the 4 tie-downs from the bed for future consideration.

During the clean-out, I found a $50 Lowes gift card and a LED MagLite with 2 energizer rechargeable D cells, which powered up right away. Most excitingly I found my Benchmade Bailout, which has been missing for almost a year, and I assumed was gone forever. Not that I am short on beautiful knives but this is one of my absolute favorites for everyday carry. It's thin, light, aluminum scales, and M4 steel. Surprisingly there is only a tiny bit of surface rust on the blade edge. I stripped it for a clean/oil and no rust inside at all. It still need to be sharpened, but I've been smiling all day since I found it.
