Wow we're at $4.69 for 87 and $5.19 for 91 here. Sam's and Costco are a little cheaper but only around 0.15 or so.
What the heck happened today? I went to work this morning and the prices were the same as above. Just passed Fry's gas station and it's now $4.99 for 87 and $5.49 for 91.

Must be all the Californians coming here. Now they're bringing their high gas prices too! :curse:

Almost off roading, lol. Took three hours to get to the camp grounds and averaged 26 mpg with the truck being semi loaded down.

..and gas prices for the trip were just above 4 a gallon for midgrade. It would have been just under 4 for the regular stuff.

Took advantage of the 'warm' weather to go to the local big box and get cement to put my fence posts back in place. Got some grass seed too. Pulled the posts out last year to have a new patio and walkway put in.
The Ranger 'whined' a little when I first took off but stopped complaining a couple miles later. Damper didn't complain. ;) Really need to get the Ranger out more...

Went to our platoons peace corp meet to a log cabin. Friday was food, drink & sauna.

Saturday morning we had a killer idea with one other guy to drive the ranger to this broken bridge. We got about a mile and then the ranger sunk to snow. The other guy sunk similarly his VW Passat. A bit shoveling and 5 hours later we got both cars out.

The road was access road covered with hard snow layer and then 27 inch of powdery ice crystals. When the surface broke both cars were just sitting on top of big pile of snow without any traction at all. Had to use axe to cut the hard snow under the car and then shovel it out. On the back trip ranger sunk similarly for ~ 5 times.

Sunday we had breakfast and drove away.

P.S. We had a blast!

Hi Folks,

Today the Ranger was a Mail truck....chasing to the UPS store to our mail box at the store and then a Kale chase truck as Tito is out of food for this evening at 3pm if we did not get fresh Kale... He had enough for yesterday and I tried to see if he would eat a bit of broccoli...nothing doing...turned his head and refused to give me a nose bump...he was pissed... Anyway....all was forgiven when he got his strawberry and followed with a nose bump.. Reptile affection!

Best,
Phil

Loaded up my 750 KingQuad to try to go to the hunting camp! A full size ATV fits nicely, even in the 5ft box. The truck sits pretty level and feels nice. The rear tires sit right in the middle of the tailgate.

Ended up walking from the nearest road since there was still 3 feet of snow even if there's almost no snow left in town lol. I'm beat after walking a couple of kilometers in so much snow

Because I don't know any better, is it not concerning to have that much weight riding completely on the tailgate like that? Or is that an OK thing to do?

Took a nice ride from NYShitty up to Fairfield U to have lunch with my daughter,
Felt good to get the Ranger on the highway, warm up that oil real good.
Been doing mostly short trips back and forth to work.
Truck runs so nice in Sport mode with hardly any traffic:thumbsup:
