Oh bummer, well the hell with 'em, they moved - good riddance Sonoma! =pThat's a GMC Sonoma. You will see a big difference with that insulation this winter. When I finish our basement next summer, I am going to spray foam the walls and rim joists too.
I can't wait. The upstairs is pretty friggin' hot in the summer (and I lived in Texas for 14 years and Miami for 11!). And it's darn cold in winter, the cold air cascades down the stairs (but I have a classy solution for that - I nail up a beach towel at the base of the stairs - Kate's loves that!). =p
I'd like to do out garage with Rockwool and think I could handle that myself. Probably do foam board for the garage roof, and maybe find some vinyl or similar for the bottom four foot of the walls to allow some light car detailing (not by me! Kate will go out on days over freezing and do a rinseless wash - poor Soupie, it has to be into the lower 50s before I squirt him down for a winter grime rinse).
You gonna spray foam yourself? I've watched some vids and it doesn't look too bad (keep in mind, I'd get that stuff all over myself and track it all over the house!). =D
