What did you do to your Ranger today?

Last weekend I installed a WeBoost Overland Cell Booster. Mounted the antenna without the mast on the passenger side rear of the Prinsu Rack. Cable was sent down between the cab/bed, and enters into the cabin via a grommet on the lower half of the cabin. The main unit was placed under the passenger seat, and interior antenna was ran through the dash tray, and behind the dash to the center console. Took a quick trip into Big Cypress Preserve and the unit was able to pull one, and sometimes up to two additional bars of service.

Good idea.
And perhaps after warming up the head, hit what's left of the plug with one of those freezing sprays. Might be worth a try. I did a bearing which would have otherwise have needed a press that way.

If the truck is at the dealer it's probably too late, but there might be a savvy mech willing to try that. If the #4 cyl injector is disconnected and the radiator is partially blocked, the engine will warm up pretty quickly. It'll probably throw a fault but it would be worth a try. And an inside pipe wrench might work better that a brittle easy-out. Surgery should not be attempted until all other remedies are considered. 30yrs as a large tonnage chiller mech has taught me "massage first, hammer last"

Took it for a drive to see my FIL (gotta check on your seniors) and to give it a much-needed wash. The last few times I’ve made the trip, I’ve noticed the same modified Shadow Black Ranger driving in his neighbourhood - tires, painted flares, chase rack, big light bar, contrasting tow hooks, tailgate appliqué, etc. Appears to be a lot of Ford Performance parts.

Well, today, I pulled ito the line at the touch-free wash and there it was…

I was hoping the driver would have stayed around to dry it off or vacuum it out but the truck wasn’t around when I exited. Oh well, maybe it’ll be around next week.

It might actually be a Frontier with a Ranger tailgate - you know, to give it that design flaw look all the cool kids are going for these days.

War isn't any good either way, I agree. Watched 6 episodes of Smithsonian channel on WWII from start till the end. Such a positive time and so much evil in the world.

And to add more to keep this thread pertinent, I added speedwire for the soon to be amp install and I am running cables through the firewall if I can muster up to drilling a 1" hole. Gotta get the nerves steady.

Just installed another el cheapo phone mount. This one seems much more solid on the vent although it wiggles at the base so we'll see how long it lasts with the rough roads around here.
