What does this update do? I have thumb drives around but it is it worth it to delete their contents for a sync 3 upsate for our Gameboy screens?
I think plenty, on this forum, don't ever do updates. And I imagine many, many Rangers out there never even know of an update. I only know because of here and I log into to Ford.com from time to time. But Ford never sends me an email or makes any notification about updates.

So it must not be anything too major, otherwise I suppose it could be a recall.

I mean if Ford's sent new payload stickers to some folks but never anything about updates, they must not be that important (probably updating their MyJourney tracking info so they can sell our info to more people).

Had my Ford Ranger MSRT rear shocks changed out with a pair of Ironman Foamcell Pro (comfort option) today. Wasnt too expensive to have fitted by the Ford Dealership and the ride back home was slightly better Than that of stock fitted.
I hope to notice the difference more in due course!

the image shows one rear shock fitted behind the Drivers side. We are Right Hand Drive over here in the UK.

When I changed my rear shocks, for comfort too, I did notice a slight difference. It wasn't as harsh with the head bobbing (especially the side-to-side thrashing!).

It's hard for me to quantify but it's a little gentler with that bounciness, kind of like someone tossed a giant heavy blanket over the bed.

Your exhaust is very diff than on the US models!

Not on the truck yet and definitely Not the best picture I’ve taken but I got a XLT/sport grille off of eBay in metallic grey and sent it off to a local shop to have it color matched ( Oxford white ) and got it back today can’t wait to get the blackout emblems I ordered so I can get this thing on the truck

Replaced the very gacked-up chrome door sill covers. The two-sided tape underneath is horrible to get off...but have a new favorite specialty tool. This 3M adhesive removal wheel is magic.

Painted my calipers red and the rotor hats black to prevent the wheels rusting on. Nice contrast between red calipers and black wheels.

Looks nice, now you just need to get rid of those two-piece Ford chrome lugnuts and get some nice one-piece black ones.

That is one heck of a break at the ball joint, but the Dell Taco made me hungry.
Think of it as the Six Million Dollar Man on the rebuild - Better - Stronger - Faster.
I have seen those break before but not that much damage, the owner said it had been popping for about 6 months prior to him bringing it in.

Welp this is it. After ford not being helpful with the transmission issues on my truck and not actually looking into it… I’ve decided to part ways with this unreliable lemon and go backwards into something I know I can trust for many many hard abused miles. I will be selling my eibach lift if anyone is interested in it here soon other than that the new owner can have the small things I don’t care to take off. It’s been fun I guess? But time to go back to imports.

tomorrow will be the last day with the ranger.

Do what you gotta do Jacob. We all need less stress in our lives. Post a pic of your new ride when you get it.

Yup it’s a bummer since I liked the truck but at 22k miles and I’m already having issues and the dealers are not helping me… it’s just time to leave and go back to something I can trust… I’ll be getting that red ext cab tacoma in the second pic tomorrow. It’s not a offroad model so no locker but I can easily add one if I feel I truly need it. And tbh if I don’t have one it might keep me from breaking this one haha
