I tried the USB thing, couldn't get the truck to pull the update from the USB drive for some reason even though I watched a few different videos on itengine does not need to be on. Thread on using usb for update is here somewhere. Much faster
The Lariat has the perimeter alarm it's at the top of your window sticker under safety/security. They must have hit the lock button on the door by accident then tried to open the door (window must have been down) and it set it off.Yesterday getting my windshield replaced for the 2nd time in 3 months, got a notice on Ford Pass that said the Rangers alarm triggered, "Ranger's security system has detected door opened and triggered the alarm at 5:39 07 Jul 2023 UTC". I didn't know I had an alarm.

Window was down, no audible alarm. I do have the panic disabled with Forscan. Apparently my 2013 Fusion also had a perimiter alarm and this is the first time an alert has shown. agree. super easy to install. bling is always better than plastic.That's really nice, much better than the Ford plastic thing!
