Not wasting any time lol. Finally got my taillights back and it looks way better!! Ford should have a "smoked set of taillights for the "Blackout Package" IMO.

Also installed the Lariat headlights and "Raptor" grille last night, but the grille lights don't work and also the marker lights now?. I remember reading about this issue before on here so time to do some searching and reading ?.
I have smoked rear lights as per the picture

Does BLISS still operate with the smoked out lights. How did you smoke them, window tint film?

Thanks.

Spray tint. I don't know all the measurement ratios or anything, not sure what was used to tint them, maybe some mist coats of black paint or something, I can ask. But she sprayed 3 coats, then cleared. doesn't affect anything. I know some people just tint the clear and do it that way as well.

I didn't want a tint wrap as that may affect BLISS and deteriorate over time. I had tail lights spray tinted on my 2004 Jetta and they looked the same 10 years later as the day I had them done, and still looks good today with the current owner.

I work for other dealer as well and no one here even knows for who, but this... no! :D
But at the same time we have seen some members who has stored some items from Taco ages and now using them on their Rangers. Of course they deny it as long as their Rangers stop to function properly. Not calling out any names. Yet. ?
Technically the new VW Amarock is a Ranger underneath so I don't feel I'm in the wrong ?.

Picked my Ranger up from the Ford Dealership who has just completed installing my Led Lightbars that was fitted to the roof and bumper bar. They are wired up to my SP 9100 switchpro. Future projects will be installing DD Rock-lights. Eventually the Standard leaf springs will give way to Parabolic options and then look at Fox Rear Shocks (if compatible). not that this Chariot will be taken off~road! Few pics.

Love it and daydreaming about the nighttime dump runs I could do with those awesome lights! Looks fantastic!

Today I got around to installing the B&M 22200 Transmission Dipstick I bought a few weeks ago.
A PAIN IN THE ARSE !!!
It is just nut n bolt stuff but due to the OE location, it's time consuming AND you will need one specialty tool.
Not going to get into taking out the OE dipstick and checking fluid marks or transferring the marks to the new dipstick, just the install.
First, it is much easier if you jack up the passenger side/front and remove the wheel/tire. Then remove the rubber splash guard. You will find it's easier to tighten the B&M fittings via the wheel well as it's damn near impossible to get a wrench or socket to tighten from underneath.
B&M item has 2 AN fittings that have to be tightened down, both are 7/8 inch. The first fitting, the one that replaces the OE cap can be started and tightened down from the wheel well opening, and you can fit a 3/8 inch drive ratchet with 7/8 inch socket to snug it down.
The 7/8 inch fitting that is on the end of the B&M dipstick tube, is the one you'll need a special tool, a 7/8 inch STUBBY open end wrench.
Due to the slight rearward angle of the OE and new fitting you already installed, it is hard, due to the stiff dipstick tube, to start it to thread...remember their aluminum AN fittings, and VERY easy to cross thread, and due to the angle, you almost have to start the fitting/threads from underneath....and since you can only get one hand up there, it is a PAIN...but dooable...take your time.
Now, once you have started the fitting, this is where the stubby comes in cause there is no way to get a full size 7/8 inch open end wrench up there with room to swing it.
With a stubby it's fairly easy, but you'll only get 1/4 turn at a time. You don't have to get it very tight...their AN fittings and will self seal...just tighten till it is tight. I found it easier, with the stubby, to tighten the tube fitting from underneath.
Only pic I took is where I ended up securing the cap end....didn't get fancy...just wire tied it to the overflow tube so it's very accessable/easy to check.
This ended up longer than I planned, but hopefully it might help.

Let me add, when you jack up the right front, it will make it easier to get underneath, BUT PLEASE USE A JACKSTAND FOR YOUR SAFETY !!!!!!!!!!!

Well while waiting for my pizza to finish, decided to throw some simple green onto my air intake lid for a quick test and with using a brush to agitate, made quick work of the dust and dirt build up.

Hey man, simple green just works. That simple. Plus you can be "green" without looking like a greta fanboy.

It's not good for interior stuff though since it is a degreaser Afterall. I'll still use 303 even though any water washes it away which pisses me off.

Do you have a bed cover? Does it interfere with the bed cover?
I have a pivot box and a Truxedo cover on my Ranger....plenty of room...no interference.
