I finally purchased a new Sasquatch decal since the last one had a leg ripped off while someone (I’m guessing) tried to steal it. I purchased a backup just in case. ? Also added a Navy Retired decal.

I've never lowered my spare tire and was curious how the process worked. I also thought it was time to see what the pressure was in the spare. I was surprised to see that it was only at 20 psi. So, regular checking of spare air is now on the schedule.

I'm guessing that Ford wants that valve stem stowed upwards to keep it safe from road debris impact. But, that means having to lower the tire to check the air. So, I bought a 12" braided extension and routed it through a lug hole. So, I can now check the air pressure easily and that valve stem remains tucked up in a safe, impact-free area. Temporary zip ties keep the extension from flopping around. Nifty.

I just turned the tire around

Did the same. I figured the chances of something hitting the valve stem with enough force to damage it, much less cut it are so infinitesimal that I don't worry. You off roaders have a better chance of something happening, but for the street I don't think it's likely to get damaged. Besides, I carry a plug kit and compressor so it's easier to just plug the flat. Spare is for a totally shot flat.

Hi Doc,

Yep....down through throat and then cardioversion shock treatment. When I woke up all the folks were gone but two nurses were there but they relayed the cardiologist said they got it back in rhythm and was confident it would stay there. Area where the paddles were attached front and back are like a sunburn. Still spacey from the sedation....before the start Cardiologist said I would likely only have to take the blood thinners for another month and then drop them... All in all it was a quick process and all the what if's did not happen. Maybe I can even sleep tonight with few worries. Not going to say it was a "piece of cake" but thankful I was not in the hospital over night or longer which I always dread...

Feel a bit of a big baby for being so afraid of this whole thing... Oh well...hope it lasts...

Best,
Phil
I just saw this. So glad everything turned out well, Phil! :)

I feel your pain. Mine arrived today as well (we must’ve seen the same member’s post). Two hours into the install I was still trying to figure out the whole right side/left side conundrum when I finally said “Eff it!!” and just shoved one in. I must’ve guessed wrong because I had to use a mallet in addition to brute force to get them to seat properly. I just hope no one notices.

So, where do we find these?

Amazon $12.89 for a pair. Upper Bound 2 Rear Frame Hole Plugs. Accessory fit Ford Ranger 2019 and later models.
Another member posted about them several days ago, figured I'd try them. Before install I gave the tube on each side a good shot of some spray lube to coat the inside hopefully to prevent any rust from forming.
Plugs are a good tight fit...no moisture is going to get past them.
