What did you do to your Ranger today?

They do, but its only 2.3 amps on the 18v side. Would take a dogs age to fill the 200+ Wh that the batteries hold. I did a lot of digging and a big inverter is the only real solution.

Dropped it off for the windshield recall and used my pass points to order mud flaps and a bug deflector. Got a New Escape loaner that doesn't impress me. Said they do a camera recalibration once the windshield is reinstalled also.

Sounds like the OEM mudflaps?

I like mine and think they do a good job of blending in with the overall style of the truck.

I just clothed mine with a rubber bed mat.
For furniture moving, a bed rug might be better as it seems it would allow you to slide furniture on it better than my bed mat would, or a spray in liner.
Drop in liner for sure would allow for furniture sliding and hauling, and the OEM ones have cutouts for the tie downs already.

Probably a lot of opinions both ways. I actually like my Bedrug full liner. Nicer to kneel on and things don't slide around. Maybe a little harder to load things because of that. Cleans up nice with a shop vac. Never liked drop-ins because they can trap moisture under them and cause rust, also they do move around and scratch the finish.

Not too pleased with how my clear led fender turn signals have changed color. They used to match the mirrors. Does anybody have any success with these? Not looking at tinted.

While my use of a garage door's lines, while parked on an incline from 10 feet away is in no way the correct method of light beam alignment, I'm sure it's got me on a better path than nothing. Lol.

Next project is getting my DD SSC2 Ditch lights mounted and wires run... anyone have good suggestions for easy routing through engine bay/fire wall and switch location?? Pictures would help!!

What do you guys think of routing (making a new hole) through the wire bundle grommet passing into the engine bay? There is plenty of real estate to pop some wires through to the side of the hood release cable. Any reason not to go this route? Looks free and clear of anything concerning and grabbing it with some long angled needle nose from the engine side seems doable.

Any input from more experienced people than myself? Thanks.

I recommend the spray-in liner. I have the drop-in liner and it protects my truck well but it limits what else I can do with the bed. There are access holes for the tie-downs but there’s limited space for hands and bungee cord or ratchet strap hooks at the same time - cramped quarters and you can’t really see inside those holes. Putting the disc covers back on is a PITA.

With the drop-in liner, I can’t install storage solutions such as swing cases, bedside molle panels, bed-slide system, or decked system, without removing the drop-in liner.

I‘m always sliding table or mitre saws and their mobile stands, metal sawhorses, and other sharp-edged items in and out of the back of my truck and needed more protection than a spray liner. That said, most people don’t beat the tar out of the back of their truck and a spray-in liner easily protects their trucks, while maintaining flexibility for other accessories.

I think the best solution is a spray-in liner with a removable rubber bed mat or bed rug when the extra protection is needed.

Received ‘low battery’ warning over the FordPass app yesterday. Going out at daybreak to connect a charger. Haven’t driven Lariat in over two weeks-due for refueling shortly.?

I get those all the time if it is the"Some features disable to save battery" message . Think it is a glitch, rather than an actual battery issue. Planning on mentioning it when I go for my first service.

Like some others, I like the BedRug. Easy on the knees, my groceries and cases of water don't slide around, it's easy to clean, and I get comments from the delivery drivers that they've never seen anything like it.

I have the full liner, which costs close to what a spray in does. I think it helps quiet it down a bit (but that's probably more in my head than reality).

I guess I didn't like the idea of my bed paint getting scoffed up in prep for the spray in, but that shouldn't be a reason not to do a spray in.

Whatever works best for you (and I do like that you can get a spray in tinted to any colour).

That's why I got the CTEK that @AzScorpion suggested. Soupie does a lot of driveway shuffling and not many long trips, so the battery's always getting taxed.

I also got the app warning but now that I use the CTEJK, I don't. The key, for me, was ease of use.

Following AzScorpion's advice, I wired it in and have the plug sticking out the front. I also bought enough extenders that I can pull up 8 feet from the garage door and still easily plug it in.

Spray in bed liners are always the best as moisture gets trapped under plastic bed liners. No bed liner in my Lariat as I love looking at the $600 White Platinum Pearl paint! I usually throw a blanket or moving pad back there when I hauling something.

That's a great option too! I agree that the painted bed is pretty too.

I used tarps for really good protection and it was easy, and even the best quality tarps are much cheaper than any liner.
