My son is doing quarts countertops this am.......they're polishing them at the shop right now and gonna install here in about an hour......looking forward to seeing them!
I just installed quartz countertops in the kitchen of our boat shed that I’m renovating at the cottage. It looks nice and will wear well. ?

Beautiful job. Is that building on the water?
Thanks very much Ed,

It’s a modest little 16’ x 25’ boat storage shed (canoes, lasers, paddle boards, kayaks - that kind of thing) that I’m converting (upper level) into a guest cottage….it was built in the 1930s and has had many uses; a bunkhouse for farm workers, storage for small boats and furniture, a crude, very rustic cabin, and now a guest cottage…

and, yeah, it’s right on the beach in my hometown on Lake Huron.

That looks great, Duke!
Thanks very much Brian - I’m in the middle of tiling the shower and a bathroom wall with the same tiles I used in the kitchen but in a mix of aqua instead of white. It’s a special project for Mrs. DukeCanBuildit, so I’m really taking my time and doing the best job I can - it’s hard to believe it used to be a bunkhouse 80 or 90 years ago. ?

I have some very old photos, even an old postcard that included it in the shot…..

It seems like the discussion took a little detour, but returning to the original topic of the post, I wanted to say that your Spaghetti Night looks incredibly appetizing! Now, I'm seriously craving some pasta too.
They always do.?

Won't be for tonight but I've had a 10+ lb pork butt marinating in pineapple juice for about 28 hours after i drain it and pat it dry i will coat it in my homemade rub. Smoker has water and pellets and ready to go. I will fire it up and start lunch for football tomorrow in 2 hours. Having pulled pork nachos ? ??
