Weird Ford Pass app info

I just got done with lunch and was putting stuff in my Truck and noticed the front P/S tire looked low, so I looked at the app when I got back to my desk, and I noticed the app said the truck was "on" . Which it wasn't. Does that mean "on" as in systems, or actually running? Because it wasn't running. I also saw that the vehicle health is temporarily unavailable. So I assume that means the tire pressures I see may not be correct? I'll physically check the pressures before I head home just to be safe.

Which version of the software are you using? There was a glitch in the older version that showed the truck was on (as in running) which it wasn't. The newest version should be 3.4.23188 and takes care of that along with a bunch of other glitches. Mine was still showing my truck parked in AZ when I had been out here in AR for 2 months. ?‍

Even with the latest version of the App & Sync - I also get the same - Truck (ON) when's its off.

This has been happening since the first rollout of the NEW & IMPROVED app, does not do it all the time only occasionally.
Sometimes - I can swipe up (IOS) and close the app background and get it to register the correct (OFF) or repower the phone will also sometimes get it back to normal reading, one that always gets it back it to do an engine start and shutdown.

I am hoping eventually they will get the Functioning, app as it was - back, before they screwed with it - mainly bring back the option to add Maintenace & Upload receipt functionality from the app, yes, we can still add maintenance from the website, but you can no longer add receipts.
We shall see if this ever gets fully resolved.

Like: New Coke - Oh Wait - were sorry, here's Coke Classic (It was NEVER the same) as the original, no matter how they marketed it and switched to something else and never went back.

Sorry, the latest Sync version. You can check it either online or on the main screen. Once I got mine updated all the glitches I had were gone and it's worked great for the last 3 months.

I have the Latest for both - Truck - Sync & Ford Pass (App) and it still does this.
It did not do this with the OLD version of the App, since they released the NEW & IMPROVED app this issue has been intermittent. --Shows Truck (ON) when its (PARKED) and also lost various features the old one had, they are slowly bringing some of them back. (Fuel Level is back-somewhat, not the same display as is was, but it is back as a percentage display.

Your current SYNC Version should be showing 23188.
The App version varies depending on AA or IOS and they appear to roll out in waves vs mass.
My current Ford Pass version (IOS) is 5.7.0 and it was released about 1 week ago.

Latest Fordpass for iOS is version 5.8.2. There have been 3 updates in the last week or so.

Doh - I stand corrected, check the store and yes - another update - I usually just let the reminder message notify me vs checking it

I forgot I changed internet providers after my initial wifi set up when I bought the truck, and never updated it in the truck , so I haven't been getting the automatic sync updates. Downloaded the updates last night and things seem to be fine now.

Yeah this happens sometimes. It's never happened to me but I hear it does to other people. ?

Now make sure you keep an eye on it (the wifi connection in the truck) as mine will disconnect occasionally. And keep your phone app updated and you should be gtg. ?

When my truck is not running it says; "Vehicle Parked".

The Ford Pass app version is 5.7.0 and Sync3 is 3.4.23188

my wife noticed she gets incorrect readings (including vehicle locations, my Ranger showing as parked even though I'm driving it, showing as running while parked, etc) on her iPhone, but my android is usually correct (general location, enging status, etc).
