I picked up my 19 fx4 XLT brand new last month and since day 1 I’ve been modifying it. Even though nothing has been too hard there are still a few mods that I think people could benefit from. I’m not the best at this sort of thing, but I’m going to make an honest attempt at a few jobs. Don’t know if it’ll help any but oh well. Hope to have the write ups done by next weekend

This week I have coming pretty much the last of the performance mods. AFE Decatted Downpipe, Levels intercooler, high pressure fuel pump and e85 tune.

I have only seen one halfway decent write up for the downpipe. Haven’t seen anything on the hpfp and haven’t seen much elaboration on running e85. Also haven’t seen anyone slap a 50 wet shot on these trucks yet ?

A wet shot is something I see as pointless unless you are going for the strip every day. For e85 there isnt much as you have said but also be aware that not everyone(myself included) has e85 avalible in thier area unfortunately. Also just make sure you get the required tuning for the high pressure pump so you dont run into any issues. Dont like seeing others suffer from missing parts.

This truck still new. And don't forget the who owns them.

Can't hardly compare to the mustang ecoboost crowd. Which is full of people that mod, where most of the ranger crowd is going to gas em up and use it as is.

More power is never pointless. Would be like saying every mod on anyone’s truck is pointless if it’s just a daily driver.. someone has to push the boundaries. And I don’t mind being that person. With nitrous you don’t have to run 24/7. But it’s there when you want it. As far as I’m aware the qm record is 13.3? Who is gonna be the first in the 12s? 11s? Somebody has to do it.

hpfp and tune are both both coming from the same company. I mentioned the tune already. Don’t worry, I got this ?

You didn't. I did. Mainly because the motor is similar.
Gotcha. Either way people are modding these trucks and nobody is doing write ups. I’m just trying to help out and do my part since I’m going all out as far as performance goes.

Joshua,

Welcome, don't let some people discourage you from doing what YOU want to do with YOUR truck.

Just realize the majority of people in this forum are modding their truck for off-roading, towing and doing truck things. Their are a few Like "Doc" who are going for all out performance and ETs at the strip. So, you may get some flack occasionally. Don't take it personally, Everyone has their own vision of what they want THEIR truck to do and look like. Personally, I'm not an off-roader, so lifts, big tires, lights and winch bumpers are not my thing, I pull my camper and haul things. I also like t personalize how my truck looks.

This forum is about the trucks we love and whatever contribution you make will be accepted and appreciated. Lots of ways to spend your money you didn't even know about. Your truck, make it what YOU want it to be, don't worry about what other people think.

There are actually many write ups here. Just look at the Build Journals & Projects section here or for tunes and performance look at the 2.3 Ecoboost Engine, Exhust, Tuning, Bolt-Ons section here which you posted this in. If you add your mods to those specific sections they'll be more helpful.

This is accurate. Also, having done a downpipe, exhaust, tune myself, I just don't really see the benefit of wrietups on those. It's pretty much simple unbolting and bolting new parts in. TBH, my thought is that if someone needs a writeup for those things then they probably shouldn't be modding themselves and rather paying someone to do it.

nobody here cares about speed... it's all about the tailgate damper. I'm leaning anti-damper AND I have it installed. Also, do try to get in the 11's and after your engine blows you can throw in a 2.7 or dare I say 3.5 mwah ha Ha HA HA

These motors have already ran 11s. It’s not that impressive. It’s just who can say they did it first..

It's not about the motor doing 11, it's about the tailgate damper doing 11... but mainly putting a bigger engine in there. you don't want a bigger engine? who doesn't want a bigger engine? that should be your goal and down in the 9's
