Just passed 90K miles on my 2019 Ranger Lariat and I'm planning on changing the serpentine belts next year at around the 100K mark.
Tech Service manuals reference a tool "Holding-Wrench , Pulley" 303-1692, for removing the cooling fan. I can't find it for purchase on line anywhere.

Wondering if I could use a variable pin spanner wrench instead?

Service steps for R&R include removing the upper fan shroud, the cooling fan, the lower fan shroud then replacing the belts and reversing the process.

Hoping one of you can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

I haven't replaced the belt on mine, but it looks like you probably wouldn't need to remove the fan, just disconnect the fan clutch wiring harness and anti-rotation hose. Then you should be able to snake to belt over the fan.

Thanks Bob, I'll keep that idea as a last resort. I read somewhere, perhaps in one of the forums here, that the fan shroud has nasty sharp edges that can be bad for new belts and old hands. ;)
