Also - I had a loaner XLT SuperCrew while they had the truck and I can say, I think the cloth XLT seats were more comfortable then my Lariat seats.
I drove an XLT and Lariat back to back in my test drive and thought the cloth seats were much more comfortable. So much so that I gave up the additional Lariat bells and whistles and went with the XLT. No regrets.

My prior vehicle (well, not actually since I chose to keep for a "beater" rather than sell it) is a 2003 Mountaineer Premier with all the bells and whistles. Still a pleasure to drive at 120,000 miles.
The Ranger ride is different but but I enjoy it just as much. Seats are comfortable to me. The one thing I wish the Ranger xlt had (don't know if the Lariat has it) is the two memory buttons for seat position like in my Mountaineer. I won't let anyone else drive my Ranger now that I have the seat position perfect for me and for fear they might change it.

Lariat does not have memory seats. Yet. Maybe for 2023.

I had a Ford F-150 that was about impossible to get right but once I got it perfect I want so much as lean the back of the seat up to clean anything because I wouldn't feel like I'd get it normal again and put tape on the floors to get the exact front to back position if I did have to move it I was very anal about it

It took a while to get the adjustment right, then the wife gets in and blows it out, so I put really small pieces of blue tape arrows down on the side of the seat trim to get back to the perfect position, I have a manual seat.

My seats are comfortable but I miss the auto adjustment. I get in my wife's new Subaru and it looks into your eyes then adjusts the seat, mirrors, music choice, climate control automatically.

Does anyone know who makes a reallly good quality seat back, maybe with memory foam? I don't need it for my butt, but for my back..
