You know..... I was wondering if you or anyone has noticed that there's no place for the #1 on the sign if it reaches $10.00 or more. The sign goes up to 9.99⁹

$10.09 will look like 0.09⁹

No one has anticipated gas prices to be that high. It might say it on the pump.......but not the sign. I just hope it doesn't come to that. What worries me is the gas hoarding. They'll use any type of container.

Since I haul the stuff, I can tell you some gas stations will have priorities over others. So if one runs out, you'll have to start searching around town that has some and you'll be paying a ridiculous price for it.

As for the Auto start stop, I'm used to my engine constantly running. I press the disable button after I start the engine.
If it goes to $10 they will leave the sign blank.
If it goes to $10 gas will be the least of our worries. Economic collapse worldwide then war

I am sort of lucky with the prices here not being too crazy, but I thought about turning it back on the other day. I'd assume those seeing close to 6 dollars already have or will turn it back on to get some extra mpgs out of the ranger.... well that or drive smaller cars. My other ride is a minivan that gets worse MPG and a one-ton chevy that burns fuel without running it gets so bad gas mileage (joke it isn't leaking etc)

Mine is still off but I am getting close to being annoyed by it, almost.
Truth to tell, I find it annoying to drive with A/S/S on, and still mostly leave it off, but I have started turning it on briefly at obviously wasteful times like waiting in intersections with multiple crossing lights. I've also started driving it more in Drive as opposed to Sport. My modest goal is to get it back above 18 MPH...

I learned to drive in the 70's. Every time it shut off I had flashbacks to those days of emissions-choked vehicles that liked to die at stoplights. I disabled it.
Same here ,lol .
I had read somewhere that it only saved an average of .3 mpg but it added up over the thousands of vehicles produced to help the auto maker meet certain EPA requirements . I don't think it has been around long enough to see the negative effects especially as the vehicles get older and are not running perfect enough to re-start quickly when needed . Mine will stay off . I hope with the chip shortage they will drop it all together on the Bronco before mine gets delivered .

I'm not a fan and think it's obnoxious. Does anyone know exactly how much of any fuel savings are realized with it turned on?
Depends how much stop and go driving you do.
Mine hasn't shut itself off all winter since the weather got cold.

CA?
When it hit $10 national average pepper your butt. It will get ugly quick.
Yup, CA

I noticed there's no place for the #1 in the picture I provided if it hits $10.00

I bet people will panic just like those back in 1999 thinking the computers will crash when it hits 1/1/2000 ?

ASS stays off with the tune. I don't drive enough for theses prices to bother me but they hurt a LOT of people.
Don't forget the TFL guys say our Rangers are one of the most fuel efficient trucks so I'm no longer concerned about rising gas prices, bring on $10/gal. I think those guys are based out of Boulder, CO, that says it all.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Mine was turned off when the tune went in, and will stay off, doesn't save that much in any case. As for gas prices when it hits $10 I take my wife's 55MPG Prius, and being retired we don't have to drive much, but saying that it looks like our planned RV trip to Alaska this summer is a NO GO!
