Nope, I have plenty of headroom in this truck! Do you have your seat lowered all the way down? That was one of the first things I did.
I can move it fwd/back, recline and there's the wheel thing. I don't think it can be lowered. That would be nice. Thinking I should've got the Lariat, but I didn't want to spend 49K on a truck.

Yes, it can be lowered and raised... Mine's not a Lariat, not has power seats, but it still has this option... I'm starting to seriously believe this is some trolling BS... @AzScorpion you might want to read this thread...?

I'd explain the lever to you. But if you can't figure out how to turn your wipers off it's useless.

3 rights make a left... just something I learned while riding a motorcycle.
FWIW, I was in Brasilia (capital of Brazil) for work quite a few years ago and you were not allowed to make left turns in the city. Since the roads were laid out in a grid 3 rights worked very well. ?

Hello,

Is there a way to turn off the wipers? Due to the vehicle's poor design, I wind up hitting the stalk when turning the wheel, activating the wipers. The wipers then stay on, no matter what I do until I turn off the vehicle. When I get back in and go again, the wipers resume right where they left off. Regardless of weather, I'm driving down the road with the wipers on like a goof. According to the manual that shipped with the vehicle, it's easy to disable automatic wipers from the vehicle settings. That's not the case. All I have under wipers is "Courtesy Wipe", (whatever that is), but no off. Do I have to pull a fuse or something?

Thanks in advance
Hi Jason,

Real Simple....Grasp the steering wheel... Do not lay your wrist on top of the wheel at the 12 O'clock position like a Taco Driver does.....

Best,
Phil

Jason,

Some of us are here to help. There’s an easy solution. Get yourself a good set of side cutters, like these….

340F8C0A-2C94-4834-8A50-6E02935ADDEB.jpeg

…find the wiring harness leading from the wiper control stalk. It’s easy to locate under the column trim piece. Find the black wire with the blue stripe and mark it with electrical tape for reference. Ignore that wire for moment. Now, take the side cutters inside and cut both the power cord and signal input to your modem.

Problem solved, at least for the rest of us.

This guy would always be hitting the turn signal stalk; always blinding people with hi beams when turning.

Old Ford joke:
In 1986, the F-150 was the last vehicle to come with a foot operated dimmer switch. For 1987, it was finaly mounted on the turn signal stalk.
Ford initially received a lot of complaints from customers who were getting their foot caught in the steering wheel...

But he'll get his hand stuck between the dashboard and the steering column!
