It recently started getting below freezing outside so I decided to start using remote start from Fordpass. Wouldn't you know i get a message that my truck is in deep sleep mode and all remote features have been disabled. Looking through the messages it looks like it happens about twice a day. Just a hunch but could my battery be going bad already?

Things just got more interesting. Stopped at the dealer and the battery tested above its rating. I'll have to wait and see what they find.

Usually deep sleep mode isn't activated until the vehicle sits for 14 days. I had it activate once and it was on the 14th day when I was away. It's probably another glitch in the Ford app. There was an update the other day and some have had problems with theirs since the update.

I really hope that's the case but I've been experiencing the problem since October 26. I've also had a dashcam hardwired into the fuse box for many months and it always has two lights indicating the camera is in standby when I approach. I just noticed today, after getting the notification, That the camera had no power until i opened the door. Its almost like the truck cut power to the fuse box. I just unplugged the cameras power converter just to make sure thats not the issue.

Should warm up your hands/soap water before rudely waking your truck from deep sleep... ?

Yours will never have that problem seeing as it rarely sits for more than 14 minutes let alone 14 days. ?

Hopefully that's what it is. When I did my dash cam I used a ODB power cable so I didn't have to hardwire anything. If you find out that's the issue look into one of those.

Yeah as of recently, like maybe the last 2-3 days the app has gotten very glitchy. Worked surprisingly well prior to that. Only complaint before was that the start button field could have been bigger. Now it just doesn't seem to work at all half the time. Makes me want to get the Start-X remote start kit.

I rarely use mine but I do have the factory remote start. Occasionally use it to double check to see if I locked the doors when we're out and it's always worked then. The tire pressure never seems to update right but I do like the gps tracker. When I was sick and my gf had my truck I knew where she was going with it from the app. lol

Anyone find a fix for this? I've had this same issue and it is annoying as heck. I even get a console warning when I start the truck. What has happened?

Not yet. I have an appointment with my dealer on the 10th. I tried removing and reading my truck in the app and manually installing the Sync update but nothing changed.

Had this exact problem, took the truck in, they said the battery tested fine, but they replaced it anyway. Haven't had the problem since.

FWIW the truck started and ran just fine, but I measured the resting voltage of the battery after sitting for 12 hours with the message in FordPass, the voltage was 11.8 (At the terminals) which I consider low for 12 hours off time. I wouldn't have expected it to be much under 12.6 or so assuming the normal resting voltage should be about 12.8

Not sure what battery tester they use, but I'm fairly certain my battery was on the weak side.

Mine did that a few weeks ago also. Twice in one day, said the truck was in sleep mode. Hasn't done it since. I just figure it was a glitch.

Mine does it every start. Wife came home tonight from work, drove 30 miles. We went to dinner 10 minutes later and got the message.
