Truck/Car Cover For Ranger

Looking for a truck cover for the entire pickup and wondering if anyone has purchased one? My neighbors tree drops sap all over my pickup which is a massive pain to keep cleaning. Some won't come off.

Decided to cover my pickup during the summer when sap is dripping like crazy. Haven't found a cheap one that will work. Any thoughts?

Only problem with a cover is you need to make sure the car is always clean before putting on the cover. If not the paint will get scratches in it as the cover picks up dirt from the car. Becomes a pain if you have to do it daily I have only used a cover if I am going to store for a longer period. Maybe you could do one of those portable shade tents instead, or find a different place to park.

If you are on good terms with the neighbor maybe you could get them to trim the tree back some, never hurts to ask.

Good thought! I'm on very good terms with them, but problem is the tree is massive, and there really isn't a way to remove branches without damaging the tree. It straddles our property lines so is super close to my driveway, thus cutting it back isn't really an option.

Also, live in Seattle and there are very strict laws about legacy trees like this one so prob could get fined if I did anything anyway

That is the problem when you live on the left coast probably has bad there as So Cal is.

You can install a carport if you have enough clearance. You can always take it apart and take it with you if you move. ?

This is prob the best solution for me. Was just looking at some cheap ones at Harbor Freight, so that may be the way to go. Thanks my friend!

Did you ever get that Harbor Freight carport? Curious how it held up. Also, for anyone else reading, a good ceramic coating on the truck itself makes sap much easier to wipe off.

I went with a portable carport after dealing with tree sap myself, and it worked well. For a cover, I have a Wrangler car cover that fits properly on my Jeep and protects against sap without scratching, so you might check if that brand offers a Ranger model. Their custom fit and warranty make it worth a look.
