Title is click bait. But I kinda like it.

Yes, my Tremor and I live in Alaska. But it's really just an appeal to authority to make it sound so much cooler and more extreme.

And as a build, well, I'm not going crazy. I've grown to hate accessories... I don't need my truck to look like I'm a vampire hunter. So really, this is an "assembly" more than a "build".

Well anyways... Into the good stuff. I've posted before, but now this is just one central location.

First thing: 2 mile range autostart. My Ford app doesn't install on my old Motorola, but luckily my buddy runs a car electronic shop. I use Compustar, had 3 good years in my Liberty up here.

In Alaska, autostart is king 6 months out of the year. It gets cold. With modern oil and engines, plug ins aren't as popular as they used to be.

Added winter tires, studded Hankook iPikeX. Spectacular tires.

Since the winter tires are on the stock "raptor" wheels, I ordered new ones for summer. The OEM wheels do hold snow since they are convex, making it feel like the tires are out of balance. So I might swap the wheels around.

For wheels, I went with AlphaEquipt Command wheels from Tire rack. Shipping to Alaska is tough, so I had limited options. I tried plenty of other vendors, they wouldn't ship. Nothing good locally.

Regardless, the specs were similar to stock. I will likely be adding more mild Bridgestone Revo3 for summer on the wheels. I'll keep the Grabbers in storage as there is a rumor a tire shortage is coming.

Here's the wheels

They have two valve stems. I think it's a gimmick. But allegedly it's due airing up/down and checking pressure. I dunno.

Quality seems good and they were on clearance. We'll see!

Upcoming:
Seat cover build
Tonneau cover build
Tailgate build
Hitch build
Keyfob build
Vinyl PP

I wonder how many members have used that line?

I've never seen a wheel with 2 valve stems, but as you said one for inflation/tpms , the other for an
auto air down valve. But that sure is an odd place to put the second stem and IMO throws off the appearance of the wheels by making them look asymmetric.

Maybe for balancing purposes? It looks like the 2nd one is larger and presumably heavier than a standard valve stem.

I love this line. I know exactly what you mean. I do like the direction you're heading. Remote start is definitely nice in cold weather. How about Mud Flaps? Extra lighting? At least put on the customary Raptor Grille lights. No function whatsoever but it does look good without costing you much in performance. Or maybe it will make you more visible from behind during those Alaskan snow flurries.

Must admit, Vampire Hunter Rangers sure looks cool in pictures and on YouTube. Although I wouldn't want one as a daily driver, as I'm sure handling and fuel efficiency takes a huge hit. Not to mention all the additional weight. The functionality though must be kick-ass.

So here's an unplanned mod: salt lick.

Anchorage uses light road salt in the city. Since my wife and I both commute into town, our vehicles do get a light dusting of salt over this bitter cold winter season.

So last night I got home from work to see two bull moose "nibbling" on my wife's orange toaster.

IMG_20220106_193956355.jpg

This big fella actually thought about charging my ranger until I goosed him with the remote garage door opener and he trotted off.

Well, in the night, they came back and licked both cars up and down, side to side.

Hopefully moose tongue is not very rough to scuff my clear coat.

All the "clean" spots... Moose salt lick.

The orange toaster got it worse... Must taste better. Moose tested, moose approved.

Is that the ADD Stealth R Bumper? It's what I really want but it seems they gave exclusivity to RMT to use on their upfitted "factory" trucks. And RMT fits a winch in there too which is really cool.

Believe I may have said or at least thought that a few years and thousands of dollars ago.

Moose Auto Detailers: An Alaskan tradition since 1932!

How many licks did it take to get to the center?

I need to get one of these. I went to back my ranger into the garage on a -5 degree morning and the antenna went dong on the door.
That's why I went to it.

Honestly, I pulled the antenna for like 3 weeks and I got fine radio reception with just the shark fin and no antenna.

Then again, I normally do Pandora on my phone
