Title is click bait. But I kinda like it.
Yes, my Tremor and I live in Alaska. But it's really just an appeal to authority to make it sound so much cooler and more extreme.
And as a build, well, I'm not going crazy. I've grown to hate accessories... I don't need my truck to look like I'm a vampire hunter. So really, this is an "assembly" more than a "build".
Well anyways... Into the good stuff. I've posted before, but now this is just one central location.
2021 Tremor XLT in lightning blue
First thing: 2 mile range autostart. My Ford app doesn't install on my old Motorola, but luckily my buddy runs a car electronic shop. I use Compustar, had 3 good years in my Liberty up here.
In Alaska, autostart is king 6 months out of the year. It gets cold. With modern oil and engines, plug ins aren't as popular as they used to be.
Added winter tires, studded Hankook iPikeX. Spectacular tires.
Since the winter tires are on the stock "raptor" wheels, I ordered new ones for summer. The OEM wheels do hold snow since they are convex, making it feel like the tires are out of balance. So I might swap the wheels around.
For wheels, I went with AlphaEquipt Command wheels from Tire rack. Shipping to Alaska is tough, so I had limited options. I tried plenty of other vendors, they wouldn't ship. Nothing good locally.
Regardless, the specs were similar to stock. I will likely be adding more mild Bridgestone Revo3 for summer on the wheels. I'll keep the Grabbers in storage as there is a rumor a tire shortage is coming.
Here's the wheels
They have two valve stems. I think it's a gimmick. But allegedly it's due airing up/down and checking pressure. I dunno.
Quality seems good and they were on clearance. We'll see!
Upcoming:
Seat cover build
Tonneau cover build
Tailgate build
Hitch build
Keyfob build
Vinyl PP
