Point of reference, bolts called for 196ftlbs.

My torque wrench maxes at 90.

So with a breaker bar, 196ftlbs is 3 Oonga-Boongas, give or take.

my grandpa who wrenched on everything, and changed his oil when the pistons rattled....always told me to torque it until it strips, then back it off a turn.
His advice has never failed me
Hahaha

My brother always said "cross thread is a strong thread"

Yeah we got a little rain the other day in Eagle River. Even snowed back Hiland where that bad avalanche was, but we missed that by about a mile. I don't want to ask the weatherman for rain though, cuz it might not stop

Here's hoping to a hot summer... Just not as bad a 2019.
I’m curious….what is considered a hot summer there?

Mostly more about the sun and lack of rain than temp

Hot is high 70's with dipping into low 80's. But low humidity and long days make it awesome.

Record is like 90 from a few years ago but that's miserable as no one has A/C up here.

That sounds awesome. I HATE heat! It regularly gets into the 90s with humidity here in pa. It’s not as bad as other places but I’m praying for fall in July. I don’t even wanna imagine not having AC.

I'm from PA so I know the feeling. It's not Texas heat, but PA heat can really suck. I was just in town a month ago and I think I died twice from heat stroke

I like those wheels. Nice to be dry finally, huh? Of course, we could use some rain… dust flying around all over town.
After our record rain and rereading this..... I'm grumpy haha

No shit huh?! All this construction and junk on the roads I’m gonna need a polish, wax, Graphene… planning on doing it the last week of October, hopefully snow will wait till November.

Did another big moose hunt, got another moose. This time my Ranger went along as a fuel hauler. Yes, I quoted Mad Max Fury Road the whole time while driving my War Rig with Guzzoline.

About 900 pounds of fuel and gear. Averaged between 24-26mpg over the total 24hours driving resetting each leg. Crazy good mileage when you aren't full throttle.
