Skipping gears is normal in drive mode. It is programmed to do that. In sport mode, it doesn't skip gears.

If you have manual shifting with the buttons. That is sport mode. And it should not skip gears in tow mode.

Shouldn't matter. Have you looked at the shifter to see?
Okay just went out and looked It does have a S I never looked.
I took it for a drive in S something is not right I takes off in 1st then goes in neutral won't shift for a long time Then shifts I come to a stop and it starts out in 3rd ? Even if I push the - button to 1st it is still in 3rd ?

Put in Sport mode without pushing any buttons. It should shift through all the gears automatically without skipping any gears.

If you push the + button, you will see a gear selection number highlighted on the dash. Using S mode, push the + button and look to see what gears the transmission is shifting into. Don't press the - button for this test. This will tell you what gears are being used.
