Is their any other items added on a Ranger if a Tow hitch was ordered with one. Just wondering if it has a transmission cooler and such that is included in an order?

No transmission cooler and no different gearing.

The tow package is only the factory-installed receiver hitch and the 4/7-pin wiring. No brake controller either.

I'm pretty sure the truck will not have the "Tow Haul " mode mode.

Yes, sorry, it does have a button for tow haul and it has some settings for sway control in the dash display (plus BLIS stuff if you have that Co-pilot stuff - enter trailer width and length).

All Rangers have the tow/haul as standard, whether tow package was ordered or not.

So to my understanding the only things that are different if you get the tow package is the hitch and the combination 4 and 7 way plug. Other then that there isnt anything special. In my opinion I feel it is worth getting since it makes the truck ready to tow from day 1. Also with the right part you can use it for a recovery point in the OffRoad.

All trucks are equipped with a hitch. Bumper hitch is standard and the removable is an accessory hitch. All trucks come standard with a flat 4 trailer plug. The 7 pin RV plug comes standard with the removable hitch.

With the actual tow package the hitch isnt as removable as you think. I found out last year when I attempted to install a PX series rear bumper on my truck.

Just 6 bolts and a connector and the entire rear bumper and hitch come down. Should I mention that the bumper uses the hitch to mount on the truck? If you dont have the tow package the bar is still there but without the class 3/4 square tube.

I'm not sure that those without the tow package include the prewiring (2 or 3 wires tucked up in the dash that you need to pull down and crimp brake controller harness to) to support the official brake controller for the Ranger.

Trailer brake wires under dash were there on mine without the factory hitch and 7 pin plug.

I believe it was just non-tow XL's that were missing the wiring.

The bumper is different if you have the factory hitch. It sits up higher than an aftermarket one.
