Thanks.
I was looking at a SmartCap but one like yours looks a lot more classy.
Ceiling height is 37” on the SmartCap so the extra 1” is a plus too.

If anyone can chime in on this,

I'm looking to spend maybe $1.5k- $2.5k for a topper, is that price point possible?

Always liked toppers, had one on my first truck. Just became a pain like owning a jeep. Take it off put it on. Good for camping bad for refrigerators. Still look dang good on the ranger.

No, not for fiberglass. Maybe the cheapest aluminum type. My Snugtop Rebel would’ve been no cheaper than $3000+. I optioned mine with windoors, key fob locking and Yakima tracks (not racks, just the tracks). Tax and install, $4000 and I got multiple bids in WA State.

You likely won’t find a new fibreglass topper for less than $3000 USD these days. Expect to wait a few months to receive it as well. You might want to check out the member marketplace. This was posted not that long ago by a member in California.

Good luck in your search.

Ignorant to the topper thing. But like them and can see needing one once I retire and the boss lady and I are traveling/camping. (Retirement plans are buy a small TT and head west periodically.) How much does a fiberglass topper weigh on average?

They tip the scales at 150-200 lbs.

I'm in Canada and got mine this time last year for around $2500, should definitely be possible

I agree with all of you. I would like to get a fancy/decked out topper for sure. But current situation does not support my wants.

After getting many quotes from dealers (all were above $3100 to start, some in the $4k range), I pulled the trigger on a LEER Legend topper with standard options. The legend comes with tilt down front slider framed window, 2 side slider framed windows, headliner, wired 12V dome light, and tilt up back framed glass with 2 T handle locks. Cost $2,600 installed. Warranty 5 years. I'm really above my budget, since I was hoping to be closer to $2k. I need the topper to use the space in the bed, so it worked out well. I will post pics once installed.

We have two 2020 Ford Ranger pickups. One is a Lariat and the other is an XLT. We installed a Snugtop topper on the wife's Ranger and she loves it, so in turn I do too.
