Hello all. Just picked up a 2020 Lariat FX4 SuperCrew. What tonno covers are you putting on your Rangers? I am coming out of a 2017 F150 and had a Truxedo Truxport and was thinking of getting the same for the Ranger, but noticed the bulkhead is lower than the bedsides.

Any decent tonneau manufacturer should include a filler strip for that space. Worse case scenario, you could always get a piece of square aluminum tubing and use 3M double sided tape to fill it, and it's better than a strip of foam window sealer. Just search for tonneau and it will pull up a ton of results....lots of posts about them on here. Pretty much any style/manufacturer, hard/soft, etc has been discussed numerous times.

I have the Pace Edwards retractable switchblade. While I like it, it does lack features such being able to stop it half way and such. It did come with a bar to go across the bulkhead, but it should be wider since I cannot push the cover all the way back to cover it completely. If I do it leaves a gap at the tailgate. But I love the retractable option and it keeps the bed almost completely dry. It was very easy to install also. If I was shopping again for one I would go with the JackRabbit. Then again it's all in what you want and want to spend.

Have Diamond Back SE's on both my Rangers. Not cheap, but very secure and useful.

Minor issue with installer of 1st, Diamond Back's warranty stepped up and replaced the parts with no questions.

If I had a 3rd pickup, I'd have a 3rd Diamond Back.

Mine came with the hard folding one installed which if I remember right is a BAKflip G2 just with the blue oval and it does have a bulkhead rail to cover that gap

Well I ordered a Gator SR1 Pro (Truxedo Truxport). It was delivered over the weekend, but it was missing parts (no clamps or bulkhead seal) and the retaining straps were not connected to the cover. The instructions that came with it were generic and not for the Ranger. I called them and they are just going to give me a refund and have me ship it back, so I am waiting on their returns department to call me to set that up. I have ordered from them in the past and never had problems, so I am not to
upset. Stuff happens.

Do you all have a place of preference to order tonneau covers from?

I definitely recommend the TRAVEL-PRO 65-SERIES HARD TRI-FOLDING TONNEAU BED COVER from RDJ Trucks. It’s very similar to the extang 2.0 hard fold, but is much better priced, and has a built in small led bed light. RDJ has really good customer service as well. I personally really prefer the solid tonneaus over the soft ones, but the soft roll ups do have bed access advantages. If you’re interested in the RDJ here is the link. https://www.rdjtrucks.com/Ford-Ranger-19-TRAVEL-PRO-Hard-Fold-Tonneau-Cover-p/65-3036.htm

Nice find. That looks very similar to the Extang solid Fold 2..0 but less expensive and I think I would prefer that latching lever. Let us know how it holds up to weather.

Yeah, I’ll give it a good go, and then do a full review in a separate thread

If you're looking for a soft cover, I can recommend the American Tonneau Company Soft Roll-up Truck Bed Tonneau Cover. It's a little fussy with the install, you have to bolt on clamp mounts in all four corners (the threaded holes are there already), and the tension setting is trial-and-error, but it's low profile, seals well, and looks good.

Hello, was wondering Where in Tampa did you get it installed?

Had the good folks at Line-X on Adamo/SR60 (East side of Tampa near Brandon/US301) do the install. Can't miss Crystal's Saber Lariat Sport parked out front. Great customer service.

Awesome, I reached out to her on the Facebook Ranger group. Trying to set up my LineX spray too! Thanks for the info!
