I see what you mean. Doesn't look too hard. I looked on their website and the 2019 Ranger isn't listed yet. Where did you order yours?

I ordered mine from Tonneaufactoryoutlet.com . Backflip hasn't started shipping them yet. They should start shipping them to customers and sales outlets starting on Monday. That's the latest word on their status per the Bakflip people. Someone else on the 5G forums posted he was getting his MX4 hard tonneau today. Not sure how accurate that is.

Bak seems not be shipping anything till the end of next month for the Ranger

I have a lead on a used cover for a Colorado. All the measurements seem to match up, but it's 1" longer. So this may work, I'll have to see if the guy gets back to me and I can do a test fit. Will report back.

I spent 45 minutes on the phone last night with the manager/owner of TonneaufFactoryOutlet. He was in communication with the Bakflip folks while we were talking on the phone. Was told specifically by Backflip they were packaging up the MX4 tonneaus for the Ranger this weekend and they would start shipping them on Monday. Morrie at TonneauFactoryOutlet called me. That's great customer support.

Will post my delivery ETA here when I get the tracking #.

Go to the Bakflip page and watch the installation video for the cover and you will see the 2 knobs I am referring to. I took my hard folding cover off my F-150 a few times. not an issue. Takes just a minute or two to take it off.

I've had the same Bak Flip G2 since 2010 on my 2010 Ram and then transferred to my 2013 Ram. I could take it off in less than a minute and put it back on in about a minute. I am getting the "hard folding cover" on my Ranger and it should be even easier to remove since it will be about 1/4 less weight and bulk--less awkward to handle.

Question for everyone who's gotten one cover or another: how much space do you lose in the bed with the cover folded up? Some of them say the full bed is available, which I suppose is technically true of the space in the bed, but all of them look like they'd prevent a large item from going all the way forward. Since I want to actually carry large items in the back of the truck, I'm not sure which (if any) of the various covers will work. I wish I could just look at them all side by side, but the odds of that happening seem low. Right now it seems like the hard-folding would be the smallest, but I haven't seen any side pictures of one fully folded, and even a side picture can still be hard to see where the front of the bed is.

The style I have ( hard roll up) allows full bed access up to the top level of the bed rails. If you are talking about ABOVE the bed rails you lose the front 12 inches

Right, the question is if you have something that's like 4 feet tall, how much bed can it use. Thank you for the input on that style. One followup--does the hard roll up come off easily like the hard folding seems to?

Bak Revolver X2 Chevy Colorado Tonneau cover on a Ford Ranger.

It's not a direct fit but with a 1/2 inch trimming in length to rail mounts and a 1/4 inch spacing to push the rails together it fits. No modifications to the actual top. Probably fits better then the actual will. Picked it up used for $150

Currently chatting with Tonneau Factory Outlet and Bakflip.com. They both say the MX4 is ready to start shipping today. I got them in a price war and Tonneau Factory Outlet went down to $819.88 for me.

Just got my FedEx tracking number for my BakFlip MX4 hard tonneau!! Says a 2/28 delivery. It will beat the Ranger at this point...lol!

I’m looking for a folding cover that you can strap luggage on top. I see many such as the BakFlip mx4 that says the load rating on top for a balanced load is a few hundred pounds. What I don’t see are integrated rails or cleats in order to strap down whatever is on top. Do you all know the best way to strap things on top of the hard folders? I see some other like the RetraxPRO has rails where you could insert cleats I gues.

Got my Extang Solid fold yesterday, very sturdy. I tend to pile things on it while camping and wanted something HD for that and it looks like it fits the bill. I washed the truck after I got it installed and it seems to be quite water tight as well.
