Some of the Toyota forums are pretty silent, which surprises me as they are a loyal bunch.
A day to go over to one of the forums for Toyota and state that the Ford is far superior and then run away lol

My Cooper AT3/4s‘ got really noisy at just 35,000 miles, so I decided to go away from an AT for my next set and just put on Michelin LTX M/S2. It’s like riding on a cloud. A quiet cloud.

Yes. I’m on pavement 85% of the time, so I don’t need a true AT. These will be fine for my use and more comfortable. They have lots of full depth sipes and are supposed to be good in the snow, although that hasn’t been much of a concern in north Ga in recent years. Only downside thus far is that they do trap gravel and throw rocks more than the Coopers, which I didn’t expect.

I expect to have to buy tires in the spring and am watching these threads closely.
I very rarely leave pavement now and here in PHX I don't much see rain, much less snow.
I'll be wanting a quiet tire for sure.

Even though you don't see much rain there in Phoenix, you will still want to consider wet traction for when it does rain. From my experience down there, if it is going to rain it will pour!!!

I think the choice of tires depends on whether your Ranger is 2 or 4 wheel drive. Mine is 2 wheel and will never be "off-road" so my preferred tire would be a set of Michelins. I don't think there is a better "street" tire. For my Rubicon, I have Goodyear ATs. I would also consider BF Goodrich AT.

Didn't vote, because I can only choose one. Tend to stick with Falken, BFG, and Toyo. I have run all 3 on the Ranger. Currently on Toyo R/T Trails.

Other, I picked up a set of 33” Patagonia AT Pro tires and a spare. I had Patagonia’s on my last truck and they were great, so far this set has been good, we have an off-road park about ten mins away and so far I have no complaints. The tread pattern is more aggressive than the stock Hankooks so the road noise is a tad louder but I like that.
