Im over 140K on my 19 FX4 and my right front strut is starting leak, so I figure its time for an upgrade from the stock struts and BDS level. Currently I am looking at a set of Bilstein B8 6112/5100 or Eibach Stage 2 both are front/rear kits both are about the same price but I currently have a set of BDS NX2 nitros on the rear I could reuse those and save a few hundred. I'm also looking at upper control arms which we all know are pricey but I did find some Freedom Offroad UCAs for 440 on amazon.

Ill be upping my tires size from a 265/70r17 to a 275/70r17 at the same time, I do take the truck off road but its mostly forest fire roads with a few sections of crawly areas but not rock crawling serious off-roading.

ETA, I do have bds crash bars and my wheels have a +12 offset
When I had my ranger I went with Bilstein and Stage3 had an awesome front and rear set price.

FWIW, my 23 F150 and 25 Mustang GT have Bilsteins

I had the Eibach on my '19 Ranger and now have the Fox on my Tremor. IMO the Fox aren't bad and certainly not as bad as the Fx4 shocks. I didn't even consider upgrading the Fox because they ride good and handle the bumps well enough for now. If you're going to use it off road often I still think either the EIbach or Bilstein are a better upgrade than the stock Fox on the Tremor.

If you decide to lift the front. I Will warn you that when you compress the springs with adjustable struts the ride gets very harsh. I Just reset my bilstien 5100's to the. .6 ride hieght position and installed a 2.5 spacer lift. And the ride is nice and soft again. Just something to keep in mind.

Thanks for the info I never would have thought with how I use my tremor that I would have went through 2 rear ends and no shocks I come from a mid travel world and have just been waiting until I have the time to slap everything on and I haven’t had any issues other than just the lack of travel but I appreciate the input

I do like that the eibachs come assembled. Ive been a tech for 24 years and the only thing that scares me about this job is struts and we have a compressor that is caged

No plans on lifting, just going to keep it level
I've seen someone take a spring to the face sooo yeah. It was their fault for doing it wrong but still

Thank you for this comment.

I've driven Tremors but a test drive is very different than living with one for a bit.

When I got my Tremor springs, I thought about getting the Fox shocks too but decided to stick with Bilsteins due to the required Fox rebuilds.

I always kind of wondered "What if..."

Now, no more wondering. :like:

What was nice is I did the same trail with my Tremor back in April as I did with my '19 Ranger a couple years ago. From memory I'd say the Eibach were a little better over the really rough areas. Not significantly better as to where I'd spend the money changing out the Fox. Maybe if you were going to be out on the trails a lot more and really abuse them it'd probably be worth it then again you'd most likely be upgrading the UCA's too.
