Well, I enjoyed my time in my 2019, but finally decided the time was right to move on. I took delivery on a 2024 Ranger XLT FX4 last week, and so far I’m really liking the upgrade. The ride quality seems to be much improved and once the snow melts I’m sure that the new one will be as much fun to drive - hard to use Sport mode responsibly on icy roads…. I’m going to continue to lurk around here, you guys are more fun than a lot of the gang on 6G and I’ve gotten a lot of good ideas here (and a few not so good ones).

Here’s the new girl….

That's a sweet looking truck. I was at the dealer for service and scoped out a Raptor and a Lariat.
Sticker on the Lariat was just under $60K CDN ( with $2,250 2.7L) and the Raptor, I think $87K? I really liked the look of the Lariat. A few nice upgrades from my 2023.
Enjoy the new ride!

So converted into $ USD the deal broke this way,

~ $40K List for 2024
~ $17K Trade in Allowance for your 2019 Ranger
~ $22.5K owed out the door

Congrats on your new truck. I like the color.
Wow 40K is not terrible.

I went to an MY23F150 for towing reasons and I agree this forum is a lot more fun than others. The F150gen14 forum is loaded with humorless types like @AzScorpion and @subquark :^)

enjoy the new rig and the dustings of snow. I'm Maine and expected a good one tomorrow

I did the same thing. Traded in my 2019 for a 2024 as well. Cactus Gray.....my 2019 was a great truck but like you said, the feel to drive the 2024 model seems better.

Edit - forgot photos. See below. I added the bug deflector and tonneau cover last weekend.

Nice looking truck Bryan - enjoy!

There are a pair of Ranger Raptors on a dealer lot here in Kitchener - window sticker on one is $82k and change, which is in line with Ford’s MSRP. The other had bead lock wheels, so likely a few other goodies and a couple grand more. I suspect the dealer in your area is at sticker as well.

It would be tough to sell a 2024 truck with a mark-up as we get deeper into 2025. Especially in today’s uncertainty. There are times when dealers in the oil patch just can’t keep enough new trucks on their lots. I’m not so sure this is one of those times.

So, as far north as High Level?
We’re in the Edmonton area, but we’ve been talking about a trip north fairly soon. I’ve never been as far up as High Level but the drive up into the NWT looks pretty epic. Have a few things to do to get the new truck ready for camping, planning on putting a cap on her to make it easier to organize our gear.

We got the 2.3l. I did briefly consider getting the 2.7 but decided that I never really felt that we were hurting for power in the old 2019 with the 2.3 even when towing our travel trailer So going with the same engine would save a few dollars for other goodies.

That sounds like an awesome trip if you manage to get up that way. I was in High Level and Rainbow Lake a very long time ago. Also got to the far northwest of BC and the Alaska panhandle. Saw this sign and just wanted to keep going…

The Jeep was a company car, so I had to turn around and head back to Vancouver. ?

Nice ride, beautiful color, can we get some pictures of the front? Trying to decide if I like the new design.
