I did the same thing. Traded in my 2019 for a 2024 as well. Cactus Gray.....my 2019 was a great truck but like you said, the feel to drive the 2024 model seems better.
Edit - forgot photos. See below. I added the bug deflector and tonneau cover last weekend.
Valid question. I noticed slight transmission hiccups when driving at lower speeds; bought new rubber less than 4 months ago and even after a wheel alignment I noticed it would not stay true when steering. Ball joints needed replacement and the tie rods were gonna be next. The hood was...
Photos of the 2024 Ranger XLT. It had 128 miles on it when I picked it up. Put 300 miles on it in one week. Also installed the foldable tonneau cover and Husky bug deflector to the hood.
New car smell, factory Weathertech style mats, SiriusXM for 3 months......I told my wife I wasn't doing...
I took my 2019 to the car wash this past weekend to get the seats shampooed (front seats primarily). I am a member there so I also got the express wax. As I looked at it being cleaned up, I wondered about its value against a trade. Did some homework and realized I had a very good amount of...
I live north of you in Broward, and started "looking" for a possible 2024 replacement for my 2019. I still owe on it but I am way to the positive relating to what's left versus what it's worth. I was looking in Lauderdale and WPB but the pickings are slim at the moment. Might wait to see what...
Got the black bezel cover for the rear camera/logo on the tailgate, so I spent time re-doing the Plasti-Dip black application to the rear logo, the fender vents and the front grill. All the prep time is worth every second because once it's done, peel all the tape and protection away and it's...
Dec 29 was 5 years since I bought my truck (16,049 on it when I bought it - 79K now). Just got new rubber for it and had it checked out for all basic mechanical issues. No problems. Hard for the smile to fade when I feel I've been fortunate. It's almost paid off too.....so that $ will be...
Picked up my truck yesterday. They agreed to cover a portion of the new Sync module and some labor. I was happy to pay the reduced amount since they also covered a rental car for nearly 2 weeks. Out the door for the new Sync, the rear seat belt restraint fix for $1,300.00
I did lose the...
Long time since I've posted, but looking for some help.
I upgraded in early 2022 to the 8" screen via the same vendor. Took 45 min to install but worked flawlessly (and has ever since). For the past 3 months, I started getting notices about the rear seatbelt restraint (passenger side) being a...
Washed it yesterday, current at 36,500 miles. Took the extra 20 minutes to clean the rims then shined up the tires - with the new black rims the goddamn tires look like glass. Went around it and wiped the door wells off, buffed the interior windows, etc. Had to run errands last night before...
569 days, on the cusp of 20,000 miles put on it since I bought it used.
Just swapped out the rims to a black/Lariat style, and the truck has a whole new look.
Still smiling.
1988 Ford Festiva LX (HA!). Bought it brand new from the dealer, my first new car and first car payment. 5 speed manual transmission (so you could drive it fast to where you were going then hide it). Drove that on the factory clutch for 121K miles until I sold it to a co worker who put new...
Swapped out the factory rims with Lariat rims I bought off another forum member. Added new rubber(just at 36K miles), and my blackout is just about complete. I was going to go more offroad style tires but with my truck being a commuter vehicle, I had my set picked out at Discount Tire. Road...
Finally got back into mine today after several failed attempts and PW changes. I should just come here first from now on instead of assuming I forgot my PW to see if everyone else is having the same fun as I am!
Front grille completed. Kept the factory one but blacked it out.
Waiting on rims from another forum member, then with the new rubber in the next few weeks All the chrome will be gone.
Once I do the small repair to the front lower grille, install the metal protection grille from Putco and...
Fender inserts done. Took about 20 seconds to get them out with a trim tool. A quick wipe down with some naptha, let them air dry then I followed D-nguy56's suggestion about passes and # of coats.
After the 5th coat I let them dry for nearly 2 hours before I installed them back in the truck...
Ok, I have a question. How well does Plasti Dip stick if it appears to be so easy to peel? I'm leery about doing the emblems because I've seen others comment that you can peel it off if you don't like the look. I ask because is this something that will start to peel after a few months in the...
