Not the case my friend. You’d never know it was off road. And 70,000km of that 90,000 is all highway…
Sorry I didn't see the miles were in km, and you were talking about struts and control arm.

I had a pretty severe squeak in the front end. It was the lower control arm bushing but they replaced the front struts first thinking it was that…. Just a bad diagnoses. Nothing related to off roading. Just a bad rubber in the bushing. The adhesive let go so the bushing wasn’t flexing it was turning….

Can you not add on to your warranty? Thats what I’m looking at doing, mine runs out at 60,000. I’m at 42,000 now.

I too have a crooked hood, I just deal with it. My heating and cooling has never been right. And when I do take it in I know they will say that can’t find anything wrong.
I’ve had a few issues that have been documented here. Other than than its been a fine truck and meets my needs. I have about a year left to pay and will trade it off or sell it after. I’ve said it before, I have no emotional attachment, don’t name and I don’t try and get a million miles out of a vehicle. It is transportation, a tool to me that gets replaced when the time comes.

I’ve got a 2021 XLT.. it’s got 91,000km…

between the stupid things going wrong with the truck, and my experience thus far with Ford service has me wanting to trade up…

I love the truck. But I don’t want to pay to fix things once I’m out of warranty. (Bought extended bumper to bumper to match factory 100,000km power train warranty)

My Ranger has been in the shop more times than the last 3 vehicles I’ve had combined.. power windows… rear window seals.. struts… a control arm.. EGR issues… All the body panels are out of whack, not a huge deal but it’s pretty bad… I’m function over fashion but NOTHING lines up… I’m having HVAC issues… severe clicking… and of course the techs can never replicate at a note of $40 a time just to listen…. I don’t want to get stuck with that repair after my warranty…

and now today my tailgate won’t open. It’s the passenger side latch.. pretty sure the rod to the handle broke…

WTF!

its 2 years old! Bought it October of 2021!!!

what’s next!?

am I the only one?

and my last oil change the tech forgot to put the filler cap on and oil blew all over my engine… I got my money back but Jesus…

I want to keep the truck because I need it for its off road capabilities.. it’s very good off road.. better than my Tacoma was.. the ability to lock my rear diff at any time is big for me.. and the truck crawls and is smoother than the Toyota…

but that damn Toyota was never in the shop more than 2 times in 160k for an actual problem..

talk me down!
Mines in the shop right now two week, again. This time a suspected bad pedal accelerator sensor, causing me no end of suspect goofy transmission issues. Hopefully not.

On the bright side...your at roughly 69,000 miles...so you have about 35,000 miles to go before you need to add a new transmission to your list...

Thankfully I haven’t had any of the transmission issues people have. It’ll do a little quirk here and there but nothing ridiculous.

I just had the fluid and filter changed in the transmission today… Along with the diffs and transfer case.

the transmission service was pretty expensive…. Actually it all was…

The manual states the fluids pretty much never need to be changed but I don’t buy that…

Keep it til warranty runs out and then trade it for another Ranger. The majority of your issues don't seem like common ones I've seen on these forums except the HVAC. I think you sadly may have just got a bad one...

You seem to like the truck so makes sense to just get another Ranger that may (most likely will) have less issues.

Man, that is terrible luck. I think I would move on as soon as your warranty runs out. Of course, with the luck you have had, you probably will have fixed everything that might go wrong, just about when you off it. :(

My 2021 XLT FX4 SCrew has been trouble free other than the windshield adhesive recall, which I have yet to do. I perform all my own regular maintenance so I haven’t had any dealer tech heartache.

We use our Ranger about 50% off road and she gets a pretty good workout in that duty. I agree with your assessment regarding its off road capability.

Best of luck with whatever you choose to get next, you certainly deserve some good luck.

I’m going to hang on to this truck till it’s paid for. It’s just a couple more years.

I’d really like to drive a paid off vehicle. I haven’t done that since 2017….

I’ve paid the truck down quit a bit but I’m not going to anymore. my interest rate on what’s left is not a lot.

I saw your thread on that… ouch.

It was a good way to do it.

I know a really good transmission guy. When the time comes I’ll give him the truck and he will rebuild my trans… He’s done a few GM jobs for me and every time they come back so slick…

He’s an up to date tech. I’m sure he’s got some “tricks” for the 10R80…

No can do. If I wanted to deal with this level of unreliability and uncertainty, I'd save a boatload and buy something used.

Da Fuq!? I'm 60k miles on my 2019 and absolutely zero issues. Sounds like you got a bullshit truck. Sorry for your bad fortunes, this is my favorite vehicle I've ever owned.
