Winter is hanging on

We could use some winter temps here. We warmed up!

A pretty extreme temp change for us this weekend.
Saturday was up in the mid 80s, sunny, humid, and wind out of the west.
Sunday it was down into the mid 30s, cloudy, rain/sleet, and windy out of the east.
An approximate 50 difference in less than 12 hours. The difference it makes when wind comes off the still very cold Lake Superior.

That didn't stop some from still heading out onto the big lake (Lake Superior) though and doing some kite surfing. Air temp and water temp were about the same sitting just above freezing. Also, nice international freighter in the background as a bonus.

Our temps did the same BIG swing here. We resided on Park point when we lived in Duluth and could watch the sail surfing guys from our third story apartment doing there thing on windy days.

To me, it's a stark contrast between hunter and hunted, defenseless and merciless, especially how the photographer posed that contrast in their black and white. Prob tasted like a chicken wing that you found in the trash can tbh ?

We tried already with DDT and almost succeeded. Due to some birds the DDT was banned globally. Some say in error.

Well, good thing from that try is that at least Malaria parasite was eradicated from from Eurasia and North America. But as with all good things, this will pass in future with global tourism.
