Staying warm is key to enjoying the outdoors in winter. The Descentre skull cap is my “go-to” winter riding item. It is fairly thin and fits nicely under my helmet. As long as my ears and head are warm, I’m good. Not sure I need the full burka you’re sporting, but maybe growing up in the great white north makes a difference. ;)

Right Duke...hard to enjoy anything when your cold. I grew up in a high desert climate and not used to near as much cold as you get so need more covering. Got an early morning ride coming up and forecast at 35 so will see how that shakes out... :)

I often saw Jack Rabbits on the golf courses in Phoenix, but isn’t it early for your hockey team to be out golfing - or have they already throw in the towel for the season? ;)

I have a couple different Tough Headware balaclava's that I use for skiing. Make a big difference with the cold here.
Steve,
I agree that keeping warm is the only way to go. What bothers me is the cold wind hitting the nose and ears, and these protect the whole face... ;)

I wore an Under Armour hood at work the last several years. And when plowing snow on the tractor. Amazing the difference the hoods make.
Bob,
Were you plowing in the open air or inside a cab?

I wish I had the cash flow and could convince the boss that i need a heated cab. With open station you gets lots of snow blowing back on you. Have to wear goggles, too......
