Tie-Out-AhTayota?! ??
That's a good looking dog in your profile, toyota translates to rust like a bitch.Toyota lost a lawsuit where they were forced to replace the frames on many Taacoma's, Tundra's, 4Runner's and Sequia's (or whatever their Tundra based Tahoe wanna be is called) from around 2005-2010 depending on the models. I can't see the OP but reading the comments I'm guessing you have an 08 Tacoma so you might have some recourse
What do they use for annual rust proofing? Something like a spray on ACF-50?Every 15 year old truck in Canada with no annual rust proofing will have the same rust as that does. Probably worse if it was in a high salt use area. That's not unique to Tie-Yoda.
There are two types I know of, dripless which from my understanding is wax like or wax based, and an oil based which runs and creeps after application, seeping into the areas that didn’t get a direct spray. I go to Krown which uses an oil based. Then I use spray cans of Fluid Film to get the spots I don’t think they get. What do they use for annual rust proofing? Something like a spray on ACF-50?
How about an undercoating? Would that prevent the rusting out or prolong the frame?
