Just finished updating to version 23188. Went with no issues, will see if any come up in the next few days. Everything seems to have come back just like I had it.

Got to thinking, I wonder if the source and setup issues people are having are related to the XM tie in to SYNC? I don't use XM, never had a subscription. As I said I even have it removed from my source list. Also do not have NAV. I have never had any of the issues people have complained about recently with any of the versions I've run, and I've run most of them.

It is not a Cyanlabs product. It is the latest release from Ford. Ford just takes forever to release it on their system. All Cyanlabs does is get the files from Ford and automate the USB creation, making it simpler and getting the latest version out there quicker. I long ago gave up on Fords system. I'm usually on the next version 6 months before it shows up on their site. Fords OTA upgrade worked once for me and was downloading forever.

I've been on version 23088 for several months with no issues. I have heard Cyanlabs may have a newer version out there.

I've never had the issues some have been complaining about. I have mine set to night mode all the time and use a Lincoln color option along with the Raptor flash screen. Always boots to my Flash drive unless my wife sets it to FM. Don't use XM, even have it removed from my sources list.
Can you elaborate about 'Always boots to my Flash drive unless my wife sets it to FM.'
Thanks!

I leave my source set to my flash drive I use for my music and the system always starts using it unless my wife uses the truck and changes the source to FM radio.

WOW, I’ve read all of the posts here. I understand everyone loves tech these days. Some legitimate complaints and concerns but the concern and complaints about connectivity and idiosyncrasies just astound me.. like dang now I have to press 2 buttons instead of none and it’s going to take a month to fix it… I realize updating can resolve other issues and break some stuff too. It’s the hyperventilation I don’t get… you know it’s going to get resolved but not in your timeframe… yeah I get the same attitude from my wife that doesn’t get technology… just how many layers and lines of code people don’t understand… plus beta testing time…

I don't wish much on anybody. But unless you're experiencing the issue... you don't get it.

I think the main thing is that Sync is not a new application, yet it sometimes behaves like a beta release.

It's very mature.

And a mature program that keeps introducing new issues with new iterations is annoying to say the least.

At least with a desktop computer update you can understand why there may be some issues as hardware could've changed or other applications from a different vendor could have a conflict.

But with Sync, the hardware didn't change and all the software is from the same group so the interactions are very well known.

It kinda feels like Ford is putting Sync 3 on the back burner since it's now the old timer.

Is Sync 3 even still available on new Fords? Are they now all on Sync 4?

The maverick is S3, though I'm confident it will get S4 in the future, with the size of that opening in the dash. Frankly, I'm surprised they even put S3 in it, but maybe there was still a chip shortage?

In the last week something happened to my infotainment system.

Any suggestions?

thanks in advance
I have also experienced similar issues with my 2019 Ranger Lariat logging 47,000 miles. The radio and navigation history disappearing after shutting the truck off for any period of time. Took it to Ford dealer and they did a Master Reset and said it tested good. Now, how do you reset/enter everything after the Master reset?

Thanks for any suggestions.

RE-pair your phone if you haven't done so. Then to Settings and re enter your preferences in each menu. if you have an iPhone, I think you can restore your contacts in the phone menu, and your iMaps favorites.

It also is causing my FordPass to not synch with the truck sometimes so I can't use the remote start on the app. Not a huge deal but it has been over 110 here in Kansas for a bit and it would be nice to be able to use it.

I'm having the same issues. I know this doesn't sound like third-world problems. But, when it's something you essentially bought when you purchased the vehicle and it's taken away, it's a little frustrating.
It'd be like if they decided, "Well we know you like the air conditioning, but we're going to remotely cut off your access until we decide to allow you to use it again."
