You can plug a regular USB memory stick in and it will index it. Not sure if it's just mine, but the stick gets corrupted from time to time, and the last time it happened it bricked my stick and I haven't bought another one. I am currently using an old ipod touch that works.

And yes, I don't have music on my phone cause I don't walk around with earbuds in listening to music all the time. I've become my dad.... those crazy kids with their hair and their cloths!

Just curious at this point. Have read no aux input on the sync 3. I have a wavtech loc that does have an aux input on it but is behind backseat. Doubt it would work because a separate loc is for sub.

I do the same - old iPhone as iPod , leave it plugged in- and keep in glovebox, would like to move the connection to a hidden spot vs cable visible , I thought about tapping into the backside of the hub and splitting it off, this way I still have both usb ports available with a hidden port for the iPhone/ IPod , I looked into it some last year but not deeply.

I’m using CarPlay now also. Happy with it.
Out of curiosity is the center channel wired from hu or amp/dsp on the B&O system ?

I use Android auto both cable and BT and love it, never had an issue, works good with the music.youtube app and its pretty much CD quality ... and since I am youtube Premium for going on 10 years now "No Ads" in my music or any videos I watch, I am a heavy Y/T user
I have in the past also used the USB option, I can RIP a CD to MP3 and say for like seasonal music LOL
