Greetings,

If you are like me and have one subscription with two vehicles and listen to SXM through your phone via Bluetooth, this hack may work for you. This works with iPhone, not sure about Android.

1. Connect via Bluetooth, open app and listen to SXM like you normally do.
2. When back at home, go ahead and close out the SXM app (like I suppose most folks do with their unused apps), but this should also work if you keep it in background.
3. When you next get into your vehicle and Sync recognizes your phone on Bluetooth and your sound system is silent, press the ff button once. Your SXM should begin playing on the last channel you had it on. There is no need to reopen the app, unless you want to change the channel.
4. This will also work if you have multiple stops during the day where you turn off and exit the vehicle.

HTH,
Rich

Although in my wife's car, I have not tried to set it up, but my subscription to XM can be accessed anywhere, Phone, Computer, Truck Etc., it is not locked to just one device.
Have you tried setting up 2nd vehicle with your subscription you have?

My SXM subscription is good on 3 devices. I just input the serial # code into my Ranger and it is now on my truck.

This works for Android as well, and it's not Sync specific.

Anytime you reconnect Bluetooth audio to your phone, then press play or fast forward on the device you're streaming to, your phone resumes playing the last thing before it was disconnected from Bluetooth earlier.

I'm sure this works to an extent. One thing many don't realize is the XM off the Phone requires Cell Service. Regular XM on the vehicle (which this isn't) uses satellite signal from the roof antenna.

Great hack! I'll have to try it out next time I'm in the truck. By the way, the XM app is not that great. It loses my favorite channels every time I restart it.
