The entertainment system in the ranger has a lot more than the bronco! I think it's 12 total in the bronco. It's nice you can store from any source on the screen, have an FM and sirius preset right next to each other but they are so limited.

I have the app on my phone an I was thinking of storing all the sirius presets there an just using it in the bronco then have the screen for am an fm. I jump around to a lot of different stuff I guess.

Lol nope.

On my 2012 Frontier I went through a battle to get more channels since I like listening to Punk Rock. Well I also found out that years ago around 2008-2010 that Sirius bought XM. The FCC allowed this under the conditions that Sirius provides service without issues to XM Radios as well. Sirius agreed to the conditions.

A few years later Sirius XM started making Sirius XM Radios and Receivers. These allowed you to get above channel 286 and upto the 300 range with ease with the correct subscription.

For my 2012 Frontier it came with a XM Radio from the Factory. While trying to retain the factory radio I tried everything I could to get Sirius XM to allow the higher channels. Unfortunately it was not working. Finally I had success after I swapped in a new radio from a newer truck that was still OEM. It was a Sirius XM Radio and it has been awesome so far!! Of course there have been some other advantages too like the Factory Backup Camera and Bluetooth Audio.

Now for the 5G Ranger you should already have a Sirius XM Radio. If the truck is earlier, well you might be screwed.....

the audio quality of XM will just never be to my liking, I mostly use bluetooth from my phone, I listen to a lot of podcasts and YT/music, like $10 a month ad free cd quality, way better than spotify because from friends that use it they break into the middle of a song to play ads LOL

A lot of it has to do with the radio. In my Frontier I have the Rockford Fosgate System from the Factory and it does sound nice. It just doesn't help that different Channels have their own equalizer settings.....
