Sway bar quicker disconnects (no modification)

Tested them out this weekend on a badge run. I was able to easily remove the links, pulled the top pin first and the bottom came out easy. Made a big difference while on the trails, it was raining hard when we ended the ride so I just drove home with them disconnected an it rode fine at 60mph. Sunday I reinstalled in my garage without issue.

So after 500 miles I could no longer take all the rattling on bumps also felt as if the truck had more sway than it used to. So I removed the quick connects and reinstalled the originals, rattling gone truck is firm in corners again. That was my experience. My bushings were already deformed and had lots of play. Just pay shipping and they are yours.

I've been meaning to give an update as well. The bushings are definitely the weak link and deform rather easily.

I installed mine before a road trip with another vehicle from San Diego up to Williams, AZ. It drove fine and was quiet. The next day we headed down to Peach Springs and paid for the permit to drive the 20-mile dirt road, all downhill, to the Colorado River. I didn't disconnect because it was a dirt road, though it was rougher than usual due to recent flooding.

After we got back up the road and onto the paved highway, I could hear the occasional rattling. The next day we drove into Flagstaff and took Schnebly Hill Rd. down into Sedona. I disconnected for the first time at the head of the trail. It was easy enough, but I noticed right away that the bushings were already deformed. After 45 miles of trails that day, I reconnected them almost as easily as they came off while in the motel parking lot. However, on the way home, they rattled more on anything but smooth pavement.

For $25 (got them on an Amazon special), it was worth the try. I think I may upgrade to the JKS quick disconnects instead. I'm assuming the bushing material is better. Plus, the bushings are designed to provide some articulation as well.

Sorry to hear that. Mine are still going strong, about 3000 miles. Only took em to the desert once I haven’t been hard on them yet.

might be worth buying the JKS bushing kit and just replacing the bushings with the legit JKS bushings. That’s my plan if end up with your experience.

Yeah, I thought about that based on the info in your first post. However, there is no guarantee that the width and I.D. of the clones exactly match the JKS units. For $19 plus shipping, though, it might be worth the risk.

I was hoping you would try them first, but I just had my links off today for some trails and one of the bushings is toasted. About 4000 miles. No noise though.

I’m gonna buy those jks bushing and press them in, if they don’t work I’ll probably buy the jks links for like 150 or whatever.

Wasn’t expecting those rocks there…..trail was easy until then. Was gonna turn around but my kids were cheering me on. Couldn’t let them down.
