I know normally this is done for off-road. However I have also heard of people doing it for every day driving.

So I accidently popped my end links and have not taken the time to remove the bar and re-situate them. Been driving around in the mean time. Around town its a bit wobbly, but nothing bad. Dear God.... I got on the interstate yesterday, was going speed of traffic (so fast basically) and one tire dipped in some damage concrete and I was like "Nope Nope Nope!"

Ranger started twerking side to side like crazy. Thankfully I knew just to hold the wheel straight and it would eventually stabalize.

Sway bar is getting fixed today...

I will say it comes down to all sorts of factors. What suspension are you running? How much additional weight has been added to the vehicle? Can the suspension handle said weight?

The reasons I bring those up is simple. We already know @OFC Ranger has a heavy Ranger(I know a far bit isnt light). Depending on the shock valving and the spring rates it wont suprise me that no sway bar is a bad idea at high speed.

On my ranger I did get the quick disconnects and while I was in Michigan last year I decided to keep them off in an experiment. All the way too the incident 2 months ago I did not put them back on and never had any personal issues but then again I dont recall adding a bunch of weight to my truck either. If I had more weight it would have been a different story.

I drove cross country in my 4.5" lifted Gladiator on 37s with no front sway bar (It broke in Montana).

It was super sketchy.

Yeah it might benefit you to just replace the leafs all together. I suspect you have more than 600 lbs in the rear

I hit over 120 pretty often on the highway. Haven't had a sway bar for a year now. I've found that the compression on the rear shocks is what helps on dips on the highway. For example I put on the stock rear shocks when I was getting my rears tuned and I definitely puckered up doing about 90 hitting a dip on a curve on the highway. I won't go below setting 3 on my rear shocks for this reason. I keep 2 spare 33's all the way in the back of the bed closest to the tailgate and 150 pounds of sandbags for the sweet spot.

The last time I rolled onto a scale (full gear), we tipped out at 5,570#! I bet you're heavier than me loaded up...

Interesting...I rarely drive over 70 and very conservative around corners so I'm going to take the bar off next time I rotate my tires...

The engineering building at North Texas is 2 miles away from the main campus. When we leave class the roads are empty and we take off and have a little fun and then I drive it conservatively home. Big open roads. Well they used to be, not so much any more.

to achieve that recklessness we all desire.....should count his lucky starts nothing bad has happened yet.
Everyone at school has some project car they're always wrenching on and we have a little fun. My senior design I am going to have 2 projects. One is a team of 4 students to design and fab a roll cage for my truck and the other team is going to design and fab a rear 4 link suspension. I have more fun designing and putting things together then the actual 20 seconds of hauling ass hitting 125 or hitting the dirt, which the latter I don't feel too comfortable doing too fast yet without a cage. I suppose you could call that reckless behavior in the end.
