dont want to highjack the thread, but didnt want to start a new one if i can get my question answered here. for those new 22 owners with the keypad unlock, where is the factory code? a google search said it would be on an owners wallet card in the glovebox but im not finding that. emailed my dealer but no response. cant find it in the manual, either. TIA

Agreed. Once I have it in possession I will post a separate thread with some more details, including some dealer information so others may be aware of the practices there.

It has been an awful experience, but…

After some other calls to another Ford dealer, who said report them and what they were doing would impact their allocation, and getting ready to call the GM this morning, they called me first and actually offered me a better deal. $1500 lower than what I walked away from yesterday. Personally I think it came down to my salesman getting the deal or it being sold by a different salesperson, and the fact that I told them I was going to pull my Lighting reservation from them.

I also feel that it helped that’s very thing they had to say yesterday I had answers for them (allocation, supercab specs, not orders for 501a being processed on 2023, AND the fact that I did not sign a release that I was , much of which I learned here and on some other forums.

Planning to pick up later today. We will see how it goes…. And will update and post pics.

and then will move my Lightning reservation anyway.

My dealer gave me the code, it was in a small plastic bag/wrap. It's a five digit number. Maybe on your glove compartment?

PS it's a plastic wallet card. Three bar codes and reads ACCESS CODE on the bottom left. Your five digit code is on the bottom right.

i looked thru everything that was in the glove box but i didnt see it. will sort thru it again, maybe i missed it.

Yeah I have no idea what those barcodes are either but can't be too careful!

Well I know mine at least has a battery in it. Got on my FordPass app and it showed up on it. I have an escape for work and use the app already for that. I love the remote start with the app.

So I picked up my Ranger today and she is in my garage! Will fill everybody in on the saga, but she is now safe and secure in her new stable.
