You no I was thinking the same thing that is why I wanted a ranger but when I got behind the wheel of the RAM truck and drove it 152 miles home yesterday I had no regrets !! Don't get me wrong a full sized truck is a little bigger than a compact but they are not to far off in size. My wife was with me yesterday when I picked up the truck when we got home we pulled up to the garage and she said oh my god it's not going to fit but it did barely! But keep in mind I went from a 2019 Chevy Malibu to a full sized Ram truck what a difference I sure is hell don't miss the car !! But I am going to miss 38 mpg !!!
I feel ya, I have 4 little kids and have been back and forth a few times looking at the f150 tremor. It is bigger, but that interior room is near priceless. More often than not we take my suburban or the van for all the kids though so my truck is strictly for me and carrying yard stuff and house project stuff. I tow the 12 foot trailer for anything that won't fit in the bed.
You had me on the dodge site pricing out a truck again!

Go ahead and get one!! You won't regret it I fell in love with the RAM first time I laid eyes on it and driving it made me love it even more !!! You know now a days all trucks are basically the same I really never was one to boost about what I had whatever manufacturer it was all I know is that when you need something you need it !! when you want something you just want it !! So I'm not on here wanting to bash anybody about their waiting for their Rangers that's there choice. I know I wanted a truck and the RAM Trucks are readily available just go to the dealer lots and pick one out just like it's supposed to be.

Let's try this again
Last week when I found out my Ranger may not ship until the end of summer I contacted 3 Honda, 1 Nissan, and 1 Ram dealer to explain my position that I needed a truck by the end of the month. The Honda and Nissan dealers are stuck on msrp pricing. The salesman at RAM was better. He said buy a Ram before the end of the month and there was a $1500 rebate plus I would get a $1000 discount for paying cash and I should bring in the ranger contract that would help negotiate another discount. They had a bunch of old style Warlocks that look as dated as Rangers but only one Big Horn with heated seats on the lot with the new look. There were also more in transport arriving soon. That will be one of my options if Ford doesn't ship the Ranger. Was surprised the EPA ratings are almost the same as the ranger. How did you make out on gas milage driving home?

Mostly Interstate driving for about 80 miles the rest was highway and a jog of country roads and it got 20 mpg respectfully I'm sure it will do better after break in? But keep in mind this truck is definitely a lot heavier than a ranger!! I am quite impressed so far will see how it goes as time goes on it doesn't have the hemi V8 it has the V6 coupled to the 8 speed trans which for what I'm using it for it has plenty of power !!! Ram definitely wants to sell trucks I got just over 9 thousand off mine ! The dealership I went to ordered 4 similar warlock package trucks various colors in early January and delivered by the end of March they were all on the same convoy truck so it hasn't been sitting very long !!

My 2015 Ram averaged 21-22 mpg with the 3.6 v6. Good truck, but in the shop an awful lot. Just sold it at 154K miles.

Does anyone have links to info explaining why, when a vehicle is really finished, not missing parts, Ford cannot move it off their lot to the dealer that ordered it for a customer? People whose vehicles ship by rail seem to have it move. Ford missed another convoy delivery window.

What problem are they hiding with their transport company? The car haulers from pre-covid are all still out there. Is it a contract dispute?

Waiting to ship for 8 weeks.

I am in the same boat. Called Ford last week and was told once handed over to the carriers they have no control. They have lost carriers also. On another forum I read part of the problem is carriers get paid more to move F150s and they carry the same number so they are choosing to move F150s to cover the increasing fuel costs. Seems Ford has not taken this issue seriously so far.

If you look at window stickers ford is not paying the transport companies enough some are $1295 some are $1495 pending on the vehicle my Ram sticker freight and delivery was $1795 maybe that could possibly be the problem??

This is awesome! You ordered nearly the exact truck I did. I still haven't even gotten a vin/blend date. Glad you got in like Flynn. You should get your led headlights too! I suspect the cyber orange color I ordered is what is holding me up.
