Wonder if the time between order confirmation and VIN assignment/build date started really growing after February.

I got my order confirmation March 21, so 2 months and 6 days with no VIN/Build date. I wonder if that'll go to 3 months with no VIN/Build date.

I guess I could accept whatever build or delivery date but I'd prefer to know sooner than later. I need to time a canopy/topper purchase, and those are taking a couple months to 6 months I hear.
I am 3 months and 10 days

I only have about another 24 hours with you fine gentleman....

Sales rep called me today (now he remembers my phone number...) to tell me that the Ranger is here. They're going to do PDI this afternoon/tonight and I pick it up first thing in the morning. Friend and I were already out and about so we swung past the dealership to take a look at it, still has mud and dirt on it from factory testing. He was making fun of me afterwards for (repeatedly) saying what a gorgeous vehicle it is.

I'm just so glad that Ford chose to hold, I mean test, it in such a prestigious area. I am truly blessed ?

Just curious Ford claims that every 56 seconds an f150 rolls off the assembly line when they are in production! That is about 480 trucks in an 8hr day!! Now a lot of us know the number of rangers sold compared to the f150 is just a drop in the bucket I think I seen somewhere year to date that in was between 5 - 6 thousand that's not really a lot !!! So my figures are they only produce about 100 rangers a day and only work one day a week. Come on ford I work at Arctic Cat and we build 100 snowmobiles- 80 side by sides and about 95 ATV'S a day Let's get it together!!! Ford a lot of us are waiting!!!! And it shouldn't take that long to get trucks to your customers

Most of the built ones are just sitting on their lot anyway. Probably no more room for them

Well they can't even build any because they don't even schedule the ones that they have to build yet!!!

Maybe it’s because they can’t get the parts to build them. Hard to schedule if you don’t know if you’ll have the materials to build them

What you said is true but They know what they can and can't build I work in the production industry and they know far in advance what they have part's for! I get it automobile parts are harder to keep stocked only because they are so reliant on electronics but they just seem to be switching in between models to much in my opinion. They need to be more proficient !!

Anybody have knowledge on the various trackers and dealer tracking info?

I've been "in production" for over a month now. Module info is live and there is an "activate vehicle" button on Fordpass app. According to my reading that means the truck is built and not waiting on chips, etc. Dealer tells me they are seeing "in production" as well.

Does the dealer get accurate shipping info as soon as the truck is shipped or could their data be delayed also like the customer trackers seem to be?

If you know how it is being shipped you should be able to track from their? Sounds like it is shipped on a truck or a train if the activate vehicle is showing up but it probably won't update until after the holiday is over say next week Tuesday????

Thanks, it's supposed to go rail. Ultimately to Idaho but I assume the rail yard is in Salt Lake City. Is it possible to track if I don't have any other information?

The general pattern has been truck shows up at dealer long before any of the trackers show it in transit

I know my order showed up at the dealer before there was any tracking information. It went to in transit, then just showed up at the dealer.

Take into consideration the Ranger and other Bronco are on the same line, and the mix I heard last was about 70/30 Bronco to Ranger. I also saw a Window Sticker another member posted of their Ranger and it looked like they were number 400 something out of about 1050 Rangers for that week.
