Dealer got a stock order 22’ 301/Tremor in today so I had to run down and check it out. Was temping but going to wait it out for my 500/Tremor. Still no bump yet, scheduled for week of 11/28, and dealer shows a potential delivery of Xmas-eve. Oh pretty please dear Santa haha. But not sure that’s a physical possibility even if it were actually built on 11/28.

Note for those awaiting a Tremor, or maybe considering one; I got to take it on a ten mile loop and it was everything and more I was expecting. It really is a different truck from the non-tremor’s I had test drove. My salesman who’s a long time personal friend of mine has a 2020 Raptor and was finding the ride/bump handling to be comparable, as did I but he obviously has much more seat time in his own truck. Definitely even more excited!

I'm really not sure. Thought it was JAX to TPA but can't confirm.
I figured it might be a long shot that anyone else pays this much attention to how the truck got where it got. LOL

It was pulling at me for sure, and actually a color I prefer over the white girl cactus I ordered but it’s the color I need for how the truck will be used here in the PNW. Oxford would have done too but all the public utility rangers here are white, so that was a no-go.

Haha I too got the tow package, but was actually disappointed you loose the tow hooks. They are intended to be raptor-esq, but I can see how some may not like them. I find it dumb cause’ in and of itself its a receiver hitch less the receiver. Bolts on in the same spot, just as beefy, even has provisions for safety chains just no receiver. Could have done it just like the one on the Raptors but guessing it has something to do with advertised departure angles. I may snag some front hooks off a superduty or similar and Zeus them on.

Funny you say the utilities use rangers up there. They are transitioning from chevrolet here to ford for city vehicles (I work for a city utility) and they get XL Rangers for the managers.

What are you going to use the truck for, if you don't mind me asking?

I had to go to the dealers website to actually figure out what color it was, it looked like it had some blue in it, on my screen. yes, yes, yes I know that every screen will render it a bit different, but a guy can wish...

I am not sure why you have to lose the hooks when you get the hitch - my guess is that a longer bolt to accommodate them would have lowered the tow rating from 7500. longer bolts, more force and all that nonsense...

Kind of a do-all primary driver with a side of weekend warrior. Lots of forest roads; dare I say “overlanding” haha. Remote road trips and the likes, get out and see some stuff farther from home. I hike with my dogs, mountain bike, atv, off-road, snowmobile, mini-bike, camp, hunt/fish you name it. Sand/Snow/Dirt/Rain/Mud. It’s gonna get a few aftermarket pinstripes added haha. I also do all kinds of things for work, so it will see it’s fair share of that. Basically buying it as a sport utility, or a bronco that’s practical, something like that haha. With that I also wanted a color without metal in it, in the event it had paint/body work done.

I’m spoiled in that I have multiple vehicles but most of them that do the stuff listed above get ~10mpg, one being my primary driver now, a crewcab SuperDuty; is becoming more and more cumbersome to drive/park day-to-day. The SD won’t be going anywhere though, just retired to heavy puller duty. Looking forward to not spending hours buffing the paint off it every time it sees a forest road. Likewise I have cars that get half-way decent fuel economy and that are fun to drive, but I can’t haul my large rowdy dogs to the vet, or make a homedepot run in say a 335i.

Yeah I could see that if it did have longer bolts, but the tow hooks are part of a cross bar just like a tow package hitch receiver, that bolts in the same place as a hitch receiver. There aren’t too many good pictures of it, but they literally could have had an receiver in the middle where they have the safety chain connections. All I can think of is it that it significantly reduces the departure angle. Even without them, stock the Tremors rear tow hooks determine it’s DA so adding a hitch below that point would only make it worse.

I totally understand that.

Omg, did you say "overland ING" is that allowed on this forum? Asking for a friend who is going to be doing similar things with his truck....

Did you see me mention I was looking for a full size before this one besides the mortgage payment I think the gf would have really enjoyed the spacious cab... Lol

I've seen more Rangers as county vehicles and city vehicles than for private vehicles.
Oh, and they're all SuperCabs

Hahaha I sure hope it is! Want to make sure I’m doing it right when the time comes lmao.

Yeah you got that right, full size truck prices are way out of hand, I played with the F150 build and price a little just for fun and said no way. I had been dead set on a 13-14 Raptor. Always wanted one since launch, but all the lower mile ones I was interested in were still $40k, I was going to have to feed it, go through it and maintain it, and meanwhile have zero to very little warranty. Then started looking harder at the Ranger, it’s features, and the Tremor package. Was a no-brainer to me, and that was before getting to drive a Tremor. IMO, the Ranger in general is more than enough “truck” for 90% of the people who buy full size trucks, and is really overall better suited for their needs, and thats coming from a superduty owner haha. But yet it’s seemingly a social “upgrade” to move to a larger vehicle, so people tend to go larger.

Do you have a bed storage solution figured out yet?

Ibalso apparently lost a draft post I was going to finish I'll have to retype it when I get time later. Lol

Summary is it was about why do people get so wrapped up in a name, overlanding vs car camping vs exploring vs offroading.

a friendly wager, you’re on! Lol

nice catch on that New Vehicle Guide. Looks like it’ll be good content to distract me during work today.

I’m still curious about these vehicle renderings vs what the actual build will look like… for mine, the FX4 bash plate should be black but the rendering shows the regular silver. Not a deal breaker but time will tell lol.

I'm wondering if we'll get "baby pictures" like the Bronco owners do...
