I would not have the dealer do it - even tho they will farm it out. No point in adding another profit layer. My experience suggests both Line-X or Rhino-Liner are excellent, BUT the preparation before it's sprayed in is the key. So it's the installer - find a good one with a good reputation. If the surface is not roughed up and prepped properly the spray-in will not stick.
I sprayed in Rhino-Liner in my old pick up and came away with two things to consider with an aftermarket.
- If the spray-in (either brand) gets muddy/wet it's slicker than snot. I won't speak to Line-X, but Rhino Liner will add pumice in the spray if you ask for it. Sprayed on the bed floor will inhibit slip.
- You can insure the spray-in dealer "plugs" screw holes IOT keep them clear if you want to install an after market box, bed extender, etc. I ordered the factory spray-in and spent a half hour on each screw hole cleaning them IOT install a box.
In AZ you won't have a problem, but depending upon where the truck will reside, a drop-in will hold moisture and promote rust.
