Recently today I noticed that there's a sound inside the cab when I either turn up and turn down the AC any ideas?

What type of sound? There are some HVAC issues some have had so a bit more info may help someone give you an answer. So far mine has been good.

If it's a clicking sound, it's possibly the HVAC Blend Door TSB.

@airline tech did a very detailed breakdown of the HVAC box HERE

HERE is the Ford SSM51313

This happens a lot on the 2019 and 2020 models.

The HVAC plenum warps and binds the blend doors.

It's an expensive fix if you're out of warranty since the entire dash has to be removed.

Thanks for the reply very helpful
Looks expensive
Do you know if it will be drivable or cause any other issues if not fixed now ?
It's winter but summer starts fast here in arizona

It is expensive and around $2,500 for the dealer to do it.

I did the DIY fix on my '19 Ranger from the links below. Once you get the actuator out it's easy to just flip the cam knob twice a year from hot to cold and saves you a lot of money.

Here's mine with pictures:

Here's a good video from @dmeyer302

Thanks for the ping Dave. I haven't been on here in a while.

Just to be clear, what I show in the video does not fix the root cause of the issue which is the plastic box itself warping. But it does allow you a manual workaround until you have time/money/motivation to pull the dash and do it right. It is possible to reach down and flip it when you are driving if you know where to go.

Good to see you Daniel, hope all is well!

It's a great work a round especially for those of us in climates that don't change often like here in AZ. I had no intention of having my dealer rip the dash apart (even though many have had good results) and just flip the cam a couple times a year. I never tried doing while driving lol but once you do the initial steps flipping up or down only takes a couple minutes.

Sure thing! It's really easy to do but you'll have to cram yourself on the drivers side floor and hang your legs out the door. lol I took me about an hour start to finish and well worth it. Let us know how you make out.

@quangdog did a detailed procedure for DIY if you need to go that route.

HVAC Box Replace

Also, if this does turn out to be your issue and you are out of warranty, several members have reached out to Ford directly and have gotten some financial assistance on the repair. Like getting the repair cost cut in half or better.

Yup, that’s why I haven’t touched mine lol I’m not going to pay that much to have it fixed or take the entire dash apart to do it myself. The way I “fix” the issue in my truck is cycling through the vents. Defrost, dash vents, floor vents. Usually it works and stops ticking. If it doesn’t, I turn the radio up until I can’t hear it 🤷‍♂️
