A few of us have this and it is just noisy actuators, or possibly actuators that may eventually fail. If your truck was built after July 30. 2020, you have the newer heater airbox design. If your truck was built before that, you may also need a new airbox, which is the costly repair ($3k). Almost all the Rangers built before July 30. 2020 will require a new airbox :(

The actuators themselves are $40-50 part and a fairly simple replacement.

See posts in this thread.:

Here is the thread on the defective airbox:

I just wonder when mine was replaced if I got a new one with new design or an old one with old design that I can look forward to failing again?

Notes: For T/Shoot
Mode Door Position: (Normal Readings as Follows)
Defrost = 100%
Panel = 0%
Floor = 50%
Blend - Panel/Floor = 25%

Left / Right Blend Door (This is the Temp Actuator/ Door) Position, this will check max travel open and closed.
Any selected temp in between the (percent) will vary.
Hi (Heat) = 0%
Lo (Cold) = 100%

Left Discharge Panel Temp / Left Discharge Floor Temp
These temps will vary but should be close to each other, if mode is placed in Blend (Panel/Floor) if you wait about 5 minutes or so the temps should be near equal.

External Amb Temp - Should match OAT Temp, using your phone etc.

Internal Amb Temp - This is the Temp/Humidity Sensor, this reading will read high and or low, if just sitting still as the heat/cold air is rising up from the floor vents through the dash.
