Sir there are lots of fear mongers on this site, along with those who think they are elite and can tell you how to live and diagnose your truck without ever seeing or riding in it. I've found the best thing to do is use the ignore button and you can eliminate them from posting on your threads. After a year I don't get that treatment because 1 by 1 i've blocked the problem children.
I get what you mean, there are those who are constructive and those who are not. I think in your post you were addressing two separate others and they seemed confusing at first, which is why some thought you were attacking. I'm not for blocking as I find the trouble makers amusing, but I do know better and should not engage. I appreciate your points though, your one of the constructive ones!

There seems to be a lot going on in this post, but in all seriousness, I hope this is a benefit to everyone with a Tremor that wants to make the one-piece "not the anime" their next mod. Shudder and squeak aside, I swear I feel the more direct response and power.
This has been my experience. Sloppy vs precise. My transmission likes it better as well. Smooth vs jerky power delivery. We took a 70 mile round trip last night, and my wife commented that the transmission has never been smoother when coming to a stop. Downshifts are no longer grabbing, and the transmission no longer holds on upon coming to a stop.

As in a ll cases "Your Mileage (Experience) May Vary"

on the topic of solid, I would like to add a few other possibilities.

Rigid
Un-articulated
erect (vs flaccid)

While thinking of this conundrum though, what if the hollow shaft, on either version was filled with those tire beads? The dampening properties might make for a whole new level of smooth.

I blocked everybody that offended my sensibilities, one by one, until one day every post I clicked on was blank.
Finally I was able to have an intelligent conversation. But I was unable to see the peasants amazement and wonder at my expansive knowledge and wisdom and became lonely.
So I unblocked everyone.
Except 2 members who since have been banned. Proving my high intelligence and wisdom.

First, it is mostly non-Tremors that have the issue, very few Tremors have it. Second, if you don't have the problem, and most Tremors do not unless they have been modified, there is no reason to change out the drive shaft. I don't have the problem and I know a couple other people in town with unmodified Rangers and they do not have the problem. Does the problem exist? I'm sure it does, but it is not common on unmodified Tremors.
My Tremor does and I’ve seen other Tremor owners post that they also have issues.

What does your dealer think of it? Are you going to put in a one-piece drive shaft?

I’m going to buy one, as l haven’t seen any negative comments from the people that have done it. The shudder has progressively become worse and I feel like lubricating the existing one is a very temporary solution. It’s very disappointing to shell out 700.00 - 800.00 to fix the issue, but I don’t see Ford doing anything to solve the problem themselves. All the shifting and shuddering issues have taken my enjoyment out of driving the truck.

It doesn't hurt to ask the dealer about a problem with a truck still under warranty.

Hey all, @Greywhale here is the first test pilot for the one-piece rear Tremor shaft. I know, I know, it's really made of many different pieces, but you all understand what that means, it is a single shaft that eliminates the carrier bearing. As has been reported, the first prototype is working well. We have another guy in the queue to try one out soon. For anyone reading this who is wondering when these will be available to the masses, the answer is "I don't know, a couple months, maybe never". But if you want to get on a notification list for them you can click the button on this page https://4xshaft.com/collections/ford-products/products/ford-tremor-rear-drive-shaft

PS I don't think that there are accurate statistics for how much more or less prevalent the rear drive shaft problem is in the Tremor vs Ranger. 100% of the people I've talked to have the issue, but of course that's why they've contacted me in the first place, the people who don't have the issue don't contact us for a solution. I'd be a fool to extrapolate that out and think that 100% or Tremors have the problem. As I think I've mentioned before on the standard Ranger shaft thread, just because 99/100 (or whatever the number is) of people don't have the problem doesn't mean that the 1/100 person who does have a problem doesn't have a real problem that deserves a solution. These shafts, if they become available, will only be recommended for those of you who do have a problem with your stock shaft. If it's not broke, don't fix it. If it is broke, fix it.

Hi Shawn,

Do you really ride a Vespa? Not that there is anything wrong with that!

Technically it is a Stella, a reproduction of the 70s era Vespa. I forgot that I put that in my bio, I was mostly being a bit tongue in cheek. I live in a world of big trucks, big jeeps, big everything. As a sort of vacation from the world of trucks and Jeeps that I've been a part of for most of my life I tend to gravitate to things like 150cc scooters. It's got a lot of race parts on it though (yes that's a thing) and will go 75mph if/when I'm brave enough.

I have the problem with my Tremor as well. Feels like an out of balance tire and clunks at stop and go. 29k on the clock.

A solid drive shaft fixes it. The question is, is it solid steel or concrete filled?
