isnt it in backwards?
shouldnt the splines be towards the front?
They say in the documentation that it doesn't actually matter. That said I installed mine with the splines towards the transfer case with the thought being that they'll be less likely to get full of crap and whatnot.

Yeah, to echo as some have said and to answer questions, Tom Woods said no boot over the splines was really necessary since there is a wiper seal in there keeping the internals clean. Greasing is recommended for about every 6k miles, not a huge deal to me and is over shadowed by the shaft benefits. They don't make the shafts with boots but I suppose if you were worried you could find and add one yourself. As for orientation, it's correct that it does not matter truly, it's preference based on if you think it'll keep it more protected. I did my splines to the diff because the stock drive line was that way, it's easier to access for greasing since the TC side has skid plates in the way and I have never dinged my shaft on an obstacle, even in most Moab trails, but of course, to each their own. Lastly, so far this has single handedly been one of my favorite mods, the truck feels soooo much better :)

6k miles is much more reasonable. I thought I saw a post somewhere that said 3k.

Not just tremor owners but all ranger owners.

Lol true, but once you build the ranger into a different truck, it's perfect. I've always been a Ford guy but, the new canyon/Colorado is looking mighty fine. Sold drive shaft included.

My buddies 21 colorado just lost the engine at 21k mi. Cylinder head defective. Seems to be quite frequent, Was going to be over a month to get it repaired. He bought a jeep. Traded the colorado in. Rather buy a driveshaft than an engine.

Most Tremor owners, myself included, who have not modified their suspension, have no issues with the stock drive shaft.
Its seems to be a very common issue among all Rangers, not just Tremors. I have had the issue for 55k of the 60k on the truck, 50k of those were with no lift to the rear. Only a few inch in the front to level out. The problem is with the shaft design, that even some unlifted truck even have to deal with. Either way, $700 is cheap to fix a problem.

That's always a possibility, no company has a perfect or best truck tbh. Ford, chevy, dodge, especially jeeps all have their issues and their strong points. These days I'd say you get similar "reliability" from everything if you know how to take care of it.
