honestly the snow might be kinda nice but no ice or power outages please. no more pile up wrecks either. that one almost killed my ex gf. her little carolla looked like tin foil folded up. she got out with just bruises and minor cuts thank the lord.

several years back we had a good snow in dfw and no ice problems or outages. anyone remember that? it lasted almost a week.

Nope....Huston a couple years ago...Wind power iced over... My buddy after the power outage, installed a whole house Natural Gas generator to avoid another event like this...

Best,
Phil

Part of last year's power issue was lack of Natural Gas availability. Hope he has his own tank. If he's feeding that generator off of residential lines, he may find himself S.O.L.

smart guy, if i had the cash for it id love a nat. gas generator. my service is pretty reliable but i think some days without are coming in the future. with all the shortages and supply issues sooner or later something has to need service or repairs. I have a small gasoline generator that will keep me from freezing but thats about all it will handle.

Hi Folks,

Record breaking temps in much of the USA South. Friend in Huston TX says that the houses and plumbing are not built for this...Power outages. His quote..."At lease we have Wine, Bacon and Steak"....

We are only ha high of 62° today...low in the upper 30s... Wednesday when I face being fitted with Hearing Aids at Costco (wife's idea)...only 59°...Brrrrrrrrrrr!

noticed the forecast for the coming week has some cold and precip. hopefully its not round two of ice and snow revenge.
Mom (Rockwall) said they had forecasted HIGHS around 25 degrees. That can't be good.

So this will be the first time I've driven Ol' Blue in snow...and I have to admit all the safety aids were very appreciated! But NONE more so than the remote start :D

I did have presence of mind to actually deactivate the nifty power fold mirrors I got...I didn't want to risk the motors and gears.

This is cool as it is SE Texas but man...this stuff needs to go back up north where it belongs.

Its about time you people shared our misery. Last snow brought 24 inches over night.

Calling for similar end if this week.

I'm down here just west of Tuscon. Everyone complains it's cold. I'm thinking its just a warm Spring day in Maine, other than the Cactus and dry ground, and the tiny shrubs they call trees around here.

My 4G with a step box was a beast in the snow. I had it all over the place in the Cascade mountains of Washington

my 05 is 2wd so no fun playing off road or in snow. wish it was 4wd. it would likely do most off the stuff my 21 does or more and cost less
