IIRC John @HenryMac has the textured ones so he should be able to show you some pictures.

Thanks for finding this. I kept scouring Shrockworks threads but no one seemed to identify whether they had ordered smooth or textured.

Textured it is! With the snow and wet boots, any extra traction will be quite helpful.

I'm surprised that their website doesn't even show them. I had bookmarked some old posts and the Shrockworks website for when I get my Bronco. I'm hoping they'll make sliders for them as they are outstanding quality and at a very reasonable price. Mine will come with factory sliders but they're only body mounted and I want frame mounted ones. Plus with the Shrockworks you can use them as a step too.

Can you purchase the sliders unpainted. I am thinking about modifying them with a slight step at the back so you can access the front of the box. They stick out 4" maybe modify a 6" kick out.

If you want more traction, the texture isn't going to do much.

Better to go by Home Depot and get a roll of traction tape and put a strip on the top of them.

The Shrockworks sliders provide a lot of protection, but fit very close to the body and don't provide a lot of step surface

It's mostly for the kids to climb up. I'm hoping they will get just enough to grab/step/climb up onto.

For sure not as much space for your foot as stock running boards... but once you open the door there's enough room for my size 12 hiking boots.

Think of getting in the truck as being more like getting on a horse... not like climbing a ladder. ;)

Truth is I rarely step on the sliders. My wife is 5' 2" tall and she uses them ever time she gets in the truck.

That'll be plenty for little feet. Thanks for the perspective!
